Holiday Inn Express - Chester, an IHG Hotel

The bed was comfortable and pillows too. High pressure in the shower was nice and the water got hot quickly. The room had a refrigerator and microwave which was nice for convenience, in addition to a hairdryer and iron and ironing board.

A few of the towels had some marks on them, making them questionable for cleanliness. One pillow case had a mark on it too. The bottom of the bathtub on the outside had lots of scuffs on it. Breakfast was just ok, it was included so I don’t feel like too much can be said, except they were out of eggs when we got there (with 40 minutes left). We had to wait for another batch to be made, only after another couple got to breakfast (15 minutes after we had arrived for breakfast and were basically already finished eating. The vending machine was out of service, or so it seemed, because many of the spots were empty and the slots that had items in them, the items were back too far to even get.

Great breakfast. Hotel was in a good location.

We reserved a King Suite with a jacuzzi but when we arrived we were told there were no jacuzzi s in the entire hotel.

The property was very nice and close to the highway

The only thing that I didn’t like was the fact I purchased my room from of booking.com which stated that it had a Jacuzzi and once I got to the property, the front desk informed me that there were no rooms with a Jacuzzi.

due to Covid the breakfast fridge is behind the counter yet the microwave is not. the breakfast was always the same foods with out changing anything up. The day staff orders the breakfast and the morning staff serves it. I assume the Day staff isn't listening to the requests for something other than Apple juice, Biscuits and burritos. The Burritos never run out they are so bad.

due to covid room cleaning is only upon request. If the cleaning staff is using disinfectants like they should be why is it dangerous to go into a room. I see this a a way to cut staff, and costs and be able to use covid as the excuse.

Location was great for what we where there for.

I had reserved a king suite, but when we arrived we where giving the wrong room, and was told all the suites where taken even though my reservations showed a king suite.

Good Breakfast.

There was a lot of noise, loud music etc, which could be heard in rooms and continued. There were football games in area but hard to sleep due to being able to hear noise in rooms. The older toilets are too low.

People were smoking and drinking right at the entrance doors. Mirrors were halfway way cleaned shower head is too big for the size of the shower but it was hot and they had body wash shampoo conditioner in pumps in the shower very convenient and it smells good too room was quiet considering they were very busy and curtain actually keep the room dark enough to sleep in the am I would stay again I think I got charged twice I’ll check into that

I drove up, booked on my mobile, parked in back, walked in, nice gentleman FD clerk found my newly minted reservation, friendly banter, offered me room keys, went to room which was clean & perfect ! Couldn’t be happier. Breakfast was seamless too. Perfect all around-including the other guests.

Cleanliness and the polite staff

(Not theor fault) I chose wrong hotle location and could not change it w/o paying again bc their systems don't talk to each other...
