Holiday Inn Express Hopewell - Fort Lee Area, an IHG Hotel

The young man at the front desk was very welcoming, friendly and professional! Our room was very clean and comfy. After using the pool we asked for a few more towels and they were happily provided. Location of the hotel was so great! We had a choice of several restaurants that were close enough to walk to easily. We chose the Italian place and it was delicious. We were attending a Marine training graduation ceremony on base and this location was perfect.

While the pool was nice, I personally prefer an indoor pool. Not a big deal. The outdoor pool was clean and well-maintained though and the weather was nice so it was fine.

Breakfast was very good. Food was hot and there were numerous choices—even DIY pancakes. Coffee was good. The room was extremely well designed with lots of space for bags, a nice desk, desk chair and lamp. Handy bedside lights. Shower was great; large vanity. Small but big enough closet. Virtually a kitchen in the room with microwave-small fridge-coffee maker. Property also was very quiet . Safe in the room too!!

Room really clean and good maintenance during your stay. Variety of breakfast selection. Accesible location with variety of restaurants and fast food. It’s 5-9 minutes (depending the route and gate of entrance) from Fort Lee military base.

My room fridge wasn’t working at all. I have a medical condition that I require to put my medication on a refrigerator.

Location was perfect to pick up my son from Fort Lee, AIT dropp-off spot for Christmas break(6 min away). Staff allowed me to check in prior to 3pm, and that was awesome, especially since it was raining, and I was new to the area. The TV guide had 4 HBO channels, a big plus... I think the price was fair, staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the check in and check out process. I also enjoyed the shower. It was clean and well appointed.

I was hoping to see Paramount TV channel, since I stayed Sunday night, and addicted to the Yellowstone show that came on at 8:00pm. So, I missed the show, yet not a big deal...

It was an excellent location for my main event. The staff at the reception was professional and received us with a great smile. From check-in to handing us the key to the room, Dain at reception made us laugh all through, and that was kind of her on Thanksgiving morning. The rooms were clean, with the most basic amenities; it would have been five stars from me if the walls were not too thin; I heard every noise, which cost me a bit from having a sound sleep. In general, the staff were excellent, clean rooms, great location and basic breakfast options (could be improved )

How clean the room was nice and comfortable. The eating area was clean as well. the staff was very friendly the entire visit.

The inside of the shower railing maybe needs to be looked at in the room we stayed in. It did look a little unsettling but I understand everything can't be perfect.

Bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Location is good too.

There was a mistake by the front desk staff at check-in and a smaller room was assigned. It was fixed later but it took a while to get the correct room. It was not a good first impression but no more hiccups after that.

Large spacious beautiful rooms. A nice swimming pool. And a good location to service fort Lee's army base.

I did not like the hallway heater being on in the middle of July at 88°. It was not comfortable to walk in the hallway it made my bathroom hot and it is just a big waste of energy.

This hotel was prefect location to the base. Facilities were clean and comfy. The ladies on night staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again

The room looked recently remodeled and was very nice. The shower head was up high as someone who is 6’5 it was nice to not have to duck to wash my head.

The mini fridge in my room really didn’t keep my stuff as cold as it should have and it didn’t have a little freezer box like most do. Only had one guest washer and dryer most of the time it was available but if you didn’t catch it available it was a pretty long wait because the dryer would take more than one go if you had more than one pair of jeans. Not a deal breaker though.
