Courtyard by Marriott Fairfax Fair Oaks

The sign in bathroom stated that we would need to put used towels on the floor and then they would be replaced by housekeeping. That never happened. I had to go to reception to get towels for 3rd morning of stay. I was told at reception upon check-in that we don't get housekeeping everyday. That is fine but we were there for 4 nights and never got housekeeping -- no trash removal, no replacement of coffee, no towels--until I went down to reception on second night to find out what was going on. I think some written information in the room that clearly tells the guest that housekeeping is only available to those staying at least 5 nights should be provided. We were there 4 nights.

This is our go-to hotel for all of our visits to see our son at George Mason University. Location is convenient. Staff is always friendly. Nice lobby to chill, play games or have a cocktail. Courtyard is nice too but was a bit too warm out to fully enjoy. Rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable. We also loved exploring the Asian market next door.

We have stayed here several times and typically don't have any issues. This last stay was for college graduation and therefore very crowded, sometimes noisy, but not too bad overall. Staff worked hard to take care of everyone's needs.

Room location was good bout too close to A meeting room where people made a lot of noise either talking or playing loud music.

Shower was hopeless and had to get it fixed by a plumber. Some staff were rude and refused to help me toast the bread for breakfast. But then there were other receptionists who made up for the staff's rudeness. Very expensive.

Needs to be updated. Some simple updates, e.g., new ironing board covers, would make a world of difference.

We checked in super late after a long day at INOVA and the staff was kind and so helpful. Much needed after so much stress

The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Would probably stay again.

The halls were hot! And smelled bad on the 3rd floor. The room itself was really nice. I also wish we had known ahead of time that the pool was out of commission.

how much will it cost to have 2,small bottles of water complimentary. the same name hotel 4 miles away in Fair Oaks Mall have complimentary water

Staff, everyone was so polite and nice, specially Anita from the kitchen, she helped with my breakfast every day.

cleaning room service, you needed to schedule it, and I think due to the pandemic, cleaning service should be at least once every two days.

Staff was very nice, and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was located in a very nice area. Located centrally and close to a lot of attractions.

Couldn’t see outside the room through the window b/c they had a big bush sitting right there blocking our view. And towel rack in the bathroom had come a loose from the wall.

The location put us farther down the road after a concert.

There are at least three Marriott hotels in a short distance of each other. We visited all 3 before finding the right one. A refrigerator would have been beneficial.
