Courtyard by Marriott Richmond West

Room was a decent size for a one night stay, nice balcony and in a nice area. Everything you could need is on Broad St.

The "Bistro" says limited but claims to offer Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. It's the same options you get at a free breakfast at other hotels but not included. If you're looking for a hotel with a gym, this Is not it. The free weights are about 7 sets of dumbbell weights ranging from 5 to 45, and some of them only have one. One bench. The gym room was smaller than our small hotel room.

The breakfast cafe is wonderful and so much better than a free continental breakfast bar which has mostly unhealthy choices. If you like oatmeal, it is the most creamy, delicious oatmeal ever. It is served with fruit, brown sugar, and anything else which is available. The women who staff the breakfast bar start your day with cheer and joyfulness. They are all wonderful, but I must give a shout out to Virginie, who is exceptional.

Nothing could have been better.

Breakfast was not available, I guess because of the holiday. Off brand granola bars, bananas and oranges were all that were available. Extra points should be given for the Starbucks coffee….it was very good despite all the other disappointments.

My view could have been better. I love staying at the Marriott because of the balconies. The view was not so great this time around.

The hotel is superb. The location of the hotel was very convenient from I-95. There were restaurants right across the street. The hotel smelled fresh and clean when we walked in with just a hint of the chemical hotels are using during Covid to keep things disinfected reassured us that the hotel was very clean. The desk staff were wonderful, very welcoming and keeping the line of persons checking in moving at a good pace. Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and a great layout with the king size bed against the wall of the bathroom instead of one of the walls from the rooms next door. The courtyard was very nice although we did not use it. The lobby had a nice spacious layout for sitting and reading.

Breakfast leaves a bit to be desired due to Covid restrictions like most hotels these days. Prepackaged pastries, yogurt and juice and coffee. A bit better than some hotels I have stayed in, but not that great to be honest. Can't consider breakfast into the cost of the hotel with this kind of breakfast we are better off going out to eat breakfast instead. 24/7 coffee and tea is a nice feature though.

Breakfast was better than nothing. Rooms are always predictaable and have been for years. Everything one needs, and clean, just no expensive add-on frills. Maybe because of the time of the year and the pandemic the rates were awesome...$83/night. I like the room assignment which was the first room on the right inside the door on the end of the building, Not so far to get everything out of my car and into the room.

I am disabled and it would have been nice to have a porter or someone to bring my luggage in from the car.

Very nice staff, very clean and comfy other than the comment I mentioned about the bedding. Each room had a balcony overlooking the pool.

Everything was great about my stay here, the only thing is that the bed sheets appeared to have a couple stains but otherwise appeared to be clean, but still unsettling to have stains on the sheets and comforter. Also they had a la carte breakfast and coffee instead of free coffee at least.

We dis not eat breakfast at the hotel but there was plenty near by. Location was great as well.

Wouls have enjoyed free xoffee other than the keirig in the am. My husband bought Starbucks

Didn't partake in the breakfast. Staff was friendly. The room was clean as was the building inside and out. Was a pleasurable stay.

They could use another ice machine so you didn't have walk to the other end of the building to get ice. Microwave in the room would have been nice.

Location was great for our purposes. No more than a 15 min drive to all our intown activities. The pool and inner courtyard looked wonderful. Next time I will bring my swimsuit.

Perfect location for me to visit my son at the University of Richmond

There was an ant problem in the bathroom. I let the front desk know and they took care of it
