The Lofts at Downtown Salem

I really like firm beds and I really liked what they have. It’s convenient that it’s like a mini apartment with supplies for cooking and cleaning. The tv is prepped for Hulu and I believe others too like Paramount. For Hulu, the property has an account that you can use and I believe that you’ll just have to sign in for the others. I liked the convenience of El Jefe being downstairs :) it’s also convenient that it has a washer and dryer.

Can’t really tell. I don’t think it has an elevator so if stairs is an issue, I recommend asking for one of the rooms in the first floor. But if stairs is not an issue then the place is really great!

I really can't say enough about this property. Although we didn't use it, it was great to have a full kitchen available. It felt like an apartment, not a hotel. Everything was very clean and well kept. The air conditioning was blissfully cool. Staff was extremely helpful and gave us insight into the history of the building. We were able to order food from the restaurant in the building and have it delivered directly to the room, which was amazing, and the food was superb. One of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Last but not least, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Might not seem like a big deal, but after driving all day a shower with great water pressure was so wonderful.

Pictures do NOT do this place justice. Excellent location, walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. Plenty of space, the kitchen area was amazing. Pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. Historical building with rustic features very beautifully done. We had the queen large suite, room 210. Just beautiful. Washer and dryer in the room, fully equipped kitchen, huge peninsula with plenty of seating. Pet friendly...huge plus and the main reason we stayed here. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. El Jefe restaurant on site is delish and very convenient.

No elevator or luggage carts, and the parking situation, are the biggest issues that really bothered us. Perhaps the only significant issues. Parking is far away and schlepping all of your belongings all of that distance and then up a flight of stairs wasn't fun. Nitpicky dislikes: the couch, err loveseat, was much too small for relaxing to watch tv (but comfy nonetheless!) and there's no tv in the bedroom so there's no snuggling up to watch a movie. The only chair in the room had broken legs. The dust bunnies under the bed were plentiful.

We liked everything!! So updated, comfortable, affordable and clean! We just needed a place to drop on a long business trip, but this place made me want to come back and stay for a while and explore this sweet little town with beautiful views!

My only suggestion is possibly adding a room darkening curtain or solid window covering of some kind in the second floor room we were in by the bank, because their signs/lights made our room a tad to bright for me at night. But that's just me nit-picking.

It was a relief to be able to relax and do some laundry at the tail end of our trip. A full restaurant downstairs and great spots around town were a nice little addition. Local bike trails, and the staff were super helpful. They even offered to help us with our bags and guide us. The historic building and conversion gives this place a unique dimension as well. Would love to stay there again.

Eerily quiet at times, and the doors easily bang closed. No convenient way to move bags in. A cart would have been nice.

Great location off Main Street in Salem. Building is a great renovated space. Quiet, safe, and modern with lots of character. Good value for the space and amenities.

The staff came to our place at 10:00 in the morning to see if we were still there. Check out time is at 11:00, so it was inconvenient and unnecessary to have our morning interrupted.

The apartments are fantastic and it's dog friendly! Walkable to everything downtown and close to the hospital which was the primary purpose of our stay. Staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive.

This facility is not handicapped/disability friendly. Family member had a fall in the bathroom and ended up OK but we had to go the ER to check him out. It could have been a bit cleaner - especially as we're still in a pandemic. Touch pads for entry were not ideal - again for sanitary reasons.

driving on I-81 from Nashville to NY - stopping for the night - wanting to be away from the interstate, and a quiet, simple, comfortable room/suite -

it was a little difficult to find, but not really a problem - the directions were texted to me, didn't reach me while I was stopped, and I don't text while driving - it all resolved

Everything! Fully furnished apartment with EVERYTHING you need including a washer and dryer! They had salt, pepper, the best coffee/machine and details like paper towels, dishwasher/detergent, and even laundry detergent! Just fantastic! The Jefe Resturant was so amazing that we at there twice! The staff is out of this world! An amazing place to stay! My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer!💖

Everything was exceptional!

Excellent value. Private, full kitchen, laundry, walkable to a few restaurants and cvs. Plenty of parking - park across the street. We stayed on the second floor in a studio. Very cute. Valued ceiling made ot feel more roomie and skylights brought in a lot of natural light.

Bed was a bit hard, but that is personal preference. Only had decaf coffee.
