billing practices fall outside any we’ve experienced ANYWHERE including international travel. instead of posting the charge for the full amount of our our multi day stay when we checked in, they placed a hold for the full amount on the credit card. on subsequent days, they placed additional holds for what would have been the balance. in essence and without warning, they tied up almost triple the amount owed for the stay by issuing these incremental holds. manager on duty could not explain properly when asked, apparently has no authority whatsoever and kept pointing the finger at the owners. in the end, the charges were corrected, but it was very disturbing to get a credit card notification every day showing hundreds of dollars in pending additional charges.

The staff were very friendly and our room, linen and towels had a clean, fresh smell. The continental breakfast was fantastic! Something for everyone. There are restaurants close by and the highway is right there! Our stay here, our daughter graduated from VA Tech, was very nice.

We couldn't adjust the volume of the television. It was very low and we couldn't hear it. The hotel probably had to set it low because previous guests had their volumes too high. Also, you might have to place a damp towel over the AC vents. The air from the vents blow towards the bed and might annoy you when sleeping.

The location of this hotel is not scenic but it is just off I-81 which was what I needed for my trip. In that sense it was very convenient. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and every staff member I met was kind and helpful.

The hotel is on a busy street near the highway so there is a bit of street noise but it did NOT keep me awake. The cooling system was quite noisy and sporadic. But I was comfortable temperature-wise. No masks were worn by others so if that bothers you, stay elsewhere.

The hotel was clean and well appointed. The check in was a bit slow, but the attendant was pleasant and welcoming. The kitchen area was clean and the breakfast was very good. Our room was nicely decorated, quiet and clean. The beds were comfortable. The place has easy on and off highway access. There was a cute little diner right beside the hotel that we could walk to. It was a great stay.

The hotel was very clean and COVID prepped. Towels in bathroom were in separate plastic sealed bags.

There were individuals roaming the lobby and parking lot. Not sure they were guests. One gentleman tried to sit down in the lobby and engage with my daughter who was on a live zoom college class. He was very insistent and was bothering her. I was not there but she texted me so I went down to check. The gentleman working the front desk (I forget his name) was very helpful and had the man leave the lobby area and he locked the front door. This took place the morning of Thursday March 25th.

Very conveniently located to the Interstate; comfortable room, nice state. A good restaurant with outside dining option was located just across the parking lot.

We discovered early on that our room wouldn't lock from the outside when we went out. Reported it to management, but as it was Sunday there was no maintenance personnel on the premises. As we did not leave the room for very long to eat and we had very little of value inside anyway, it did not bother us.

Immaculately clean, well-maintained property. Thoughtful touches like a small table next to the door - good landing pad for keys, masks, etc. in-room safe for small valuables. Good-sized TV. Very comfortable beds. Quiet AC unit. Four kinds of coffee at the breakfast bar - decaf plus light, medium, and dark roasts.

Not the hotel’s fault, but the pool was closed (Covid) - had been looking forward to a cool dip after a long day on the road.

I checked in late in evening without a reservation and was met with a very pleasant woman who got me checked in seamlessly. Room was very pleasant, comfortable bed, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in room. Breakfast was good as well.

The room was comfortable. The clerk was very nice.

We booked a ground floor room and we received a 2nd floor room instead. The elevator was located in the middle of the building, which had been added on. Our room was towards the front of the hotel, half the building distance away. Not convenient. Ice maker on our level was not operable.
