Holiday Inn Express Troutville-Roanoke North, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was excellent- very large variety of foods. Scrambled eggs were tasty, omelets were very good, biscuits were great. Staff was friendly and helpful and asked if they could be of further assistance. Disposable gloves were made available to help prevent the spread of germs in the breakfast buffet area.

Our view was of the parking lot from our first floor room. Had to keep blinds lowered to prevent people from looking into our first floor room from the parking lot. The accessible room itself was good. However because it was accessible, there was no barrier on floor to prevent shower water from getting into the rest of the bathroom, even with a towel I put on the floor under the shower curtain to try to prevent this.

1. requested room away from common areas. assigned room next to the elevator and ice maker. 2. unfriendly sign posted on all entry doors declaring the requirement for all guests to remove and clean their boots before entry, else the hotel will apply a cleaning charge. troubling brand of hospitality.

Breakfast was amazing! Our room was quiet, very comfortable and we loved the blackout curtain. The bathroom was a great size. The location was perfect as far as getting to restaurants, and museums and Market Square!! Also loved the soap dispenser in the shower!

No exhaust fan in the bathroom. But that’s minor.

Everything was clean and comfortable which made for a great night sleep. Breakfast was perfect and the staff was so gracious and helpful. We will be back.

Nothing, I told my husband that it is rare to find a hotel where nothing was wrong.

We stayed in the Troutville Holiday Inn. Hotel seemed very new and very clean. Megan at front desk was nice and helpful. They have snacks and drinks for purchase in a fridge and freezers by front desk. The room: we stayed in a 2 bed plus sofa bed suite. It has fridge with no freezer part, microwave, mini keurig with coffee and tea. It was spacious and on the third floor. No more curtains, only shade black-out blinds and light filtering blinds. They are on skinny little pull chains. The beds are nice, but extremely high for shorter people. Please put foot stools since the beds are so high now. The beds are very firm. We tossed and turned all night. I liked the pillows, four per bed, fluffy. Our youngest daughter slept on the sofa bed, she said it was comfortable. They do not have anything set up for you in the dining area. Everything is blocked off. In the mornings, you go to the dining area they have blocked off with tables and you can choose drink, muffin, pastry, or maybe bagel (didn't ask, but I think they had), they give you a paper bag with a granola bar, juice box and whatever you selected. They do not serve any hot foods. Disappointing, but okay. Got a great deal on the room on booking.com.

I asked not to be near elevators. We heard people talking and kids running around until about eleven. I asked not to be roadside, but we were put in front of hotel right above the check-in lane facing the road. About 5:45am I heard noise for about 20 min, it sounded like mowing, very annoying and it woke me up. The most annoying was the bathroom: no vent fan to remove steam from showering, the only light in bathroom is a very bright light all around the mirror. I so dreaded that I had to use bathroom in the middle of the night, twice! Please bring back a dimmer light or an option for a second non-bright light.

Did not eat breakfast, but the lady running the eating area was fantastic. She made sure the area was clean, everyone used gloves, and was very pleasant. She even told me there was a bag to go since I didn't want to eat. She was extremely friendly and helpfull.

The girl at the desk didn't work to well for me. I had two AARP cards and she would not take them because one had expired and the other didn't have a date.

All of the staff members were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfy and very clean. The pool was small but clean and enough for me. Breakfast area was spotless and food was good. The coffee was great!If

i was up studying daily at 4:30 am and the staff was terrific in supporting me with kindness, coffee and compassion.

nothing, it was all really great. anything we needed they were very happy to provide.

Nice people, efficient. Very nice, seemed new or newly refurbished. Our room had everything you’d need including microwave and fridge.

The extreme measures taken, at this late stage of the pandemic, regarding getting a cup of coffee. Even as the attendant wore gloves, and we all had masks, she put my cup of coffee in a plastic bag and told others behind me to move 6 feet apart. I’m sure she was following established guidelines she was told to follow. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere.

great location, close to anything you could need on a trip. it was very clean & all staff were friendly. the breakfast was good- eggs & sausage, biscuits & gravy, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, warm cinnamon rolls, yogurts, juices, etc. I think the price was great.
