Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Wytheville, VA

The location was great for our family’s overnight stop on a long drive from FL to PA. The lobby area and staff were nice during check-in, our room was very quiet, and the beds were very comfortable (the best sleep I’ve had in a long time)! The bathroom had a bit of a cramped setup (small sink area), but we were fine with it for one night.

The one bathroom side wall next to the sink had coffee splatters on it (likely from someone dumping out a cup in the sink in a rush and not noticing), but I just wiped it off. Also, the hand-served breakfast in the morning seemed a bit chaotic as opposed to just letting people do their own relaxed self-serve, but other than that, it was great! Pool was empty as it was in the midst of being cleaned (which isn’t a bad thing and was fine for us since our kids didn’t have time to use it).

It was extremely nice for the price. It had one of the best breakfast setups, we have ever had. The lady cooked the chocolate waffles for you and had warm chocolate sauce to pour over the top. I also had 2 egg and cheese omelets, 2 fresh, hot cheese biscuits with honey, and sausages. No public access to the food so no little kids...or adults... picking up things, then putting them back like I've seen many times in the past in a buffet type breakfast.

Nothing at all!! I don't do a lot of surveys, but I told the lady at the front desk, and in the breakfast area that EVERYTHING was great and that I would definitely fill out the survey and give them a five star 🌟 rating.

The staff were very helpful and nice. The room was great and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Remotes for tvs in bags say they had been sanitized.

The hotel was close to the interstate and the room faced the interstate so had a lot of highway noise. Breakfast was more limited than expected. Instant oatmeal & grits, cereal and pancakes. The breakfast attendant had a lot of trouble getting the pancake maker to work to get us each two pancakes. We saw that they also had a waffle maker that many hotels have, but was told that it had not worked correctly for months.

Location was great! Breakfast was very good, lots of selection, & the two ladies in breakfast area were phenomenal! Rooms were very clean! Kudos to cleaning staff! Also your front desk staff was just amazing! There was a male employee who absolutely stood out! He was extremely helpful about every question we had!

We dressed in our swimwear & hoped to relax in your pool after a lengthy car ride. The entire border (inside & outer areas) of the pool were covered in total & complete black mold. Unbelievable! The pool room smelled of mold. No one was in the pool & we certainly understood why. We were extremely disheartened & very disappointed, as the rest of your hotel was very clean.

love the living room area and separate bedroom

stayed two months ago, and having “flu” restrictions on breakfast where we can’t feed ourselves it’s handle by staff and we are kept away from the food area, thought it would be different this trip, no same set up, a lot of people trying to eat what little was offered and standing in line to get food handed to you, flu is around but that doesn’t mean we can’t feed ourselves or touch the food to feed ourselves. that needs to stop

The hotel felt warm and inviting. The staff is friendly. The rooms were large and the view of the mountains was nice. We were on the 5th floor by the elevator and you could not hear a sound. Big TV in the room. We arrived at 2 and they allowed us in before check-in. They had a plate of cookies for guests which was a nice touch for a hungry traveler/kids. Very good Covid policies are in place. A few options to explore the surrounding area. A nice downtown for walking close by.

The beds are a bit too hard for my liking. Flushing the toilet is very loud, even with the door closed, so may wake up other members sleeping in the night. Breakfast was ok. Jacuzzi/pool right off the main lobby, so no privacy at all there if you are a little shy about wearing a bathing suit in front of the public eye.

Clean, cozy, breakfast was good

Signs all over the dining room and on the door about customers not serving themselves and needing to alert staff of any messes. Took away from the decor and I felt was a little rude. The lady told me as soon as I came in about letting her know what I wanted and she would get it for me.

Indoor pool for grandchildren

Breakfast area too small ran out of listed food choices each day. No house keeping service unless requested. Trash was overflowing by 2nd day, had to ask for more towels. Had 4 people in room so used towels were piled in bathroom each day. Carpet felt/looked dirty by 2nd day. Would have been nice if it was vacuumed at least once during our stay.

Breakfast was pretty good. Pool and hot tub were nice after a long trip and later hours were nice as well. Room was very clean and I could tell even though the faculty isn’t perfect the people working there work hard and take pride in a nice facility. The man at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming.

Accommodations, I was upgraded to a suite although I didn’t need one, the price, the convenience of the location.

The breakfast was less than satisfying. Because of the fear of flu infection they had a person serving you but my eggs and sausage were overdone. If I could have seen them I would not have selected them.
