Hampton Inn Wytheville

We always stay at a Homtpon if possible!! I also complimented the breakfest staff everthing was really good!

the pool was so unusually cold ( as in very very cold ) we could not swim!! MY GRANDKIDS WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED!! we actually stayed there a week before and it was cold then when we asked about it the staff said they thought maintence had worked on it!! so when we returned for our 2nd stay we thought it would be fixed. NOTHampton

The breakfast was great and the attendant did a good job.This was the first real breakfast I was offered after visiting several hotels over the past few years,Covid limited everything and some Hotels still are very limited.The cookies in the evening upon check in were great after a long day of driving,but ther were only a 1-2 left and we didnt come back down to see if they were re-stocked,

The staff at the front desk were very friendly checking in and out.However,upon checking out on Thursday March 17th at about 6:30am I asked for a receipt and the clerk said,because I used a third party to book(Booking.com)that I would have to get a receipt from them.I thought this rather odd because I have used this booking method at various hotels and have always gotten a receipt upon checking out.I accepted her explanation and left.I did get an e-mail receipt several hours later from the site,but would have liked it upon departure to review before leaving.

Not sure of age of property but it appeared to be newer with up-to-date features such as electronic scan room keys.

Elevators were not centrally located. We were at the extreme far end of the building away from the elevators. Amenities such as ice machine and soft drink machines were near the elevators and thus far away from our room as well. The bathroom was very small with wasted space just outside the bathroom, also with a very small closet. Seemed to be poor space utilization/design.

Reception desk and breakfast staff were very fiendly and helpful!

Parking lot space, needed to park behind building without the best lighting. We did not see any security cameras behind the building on that parking lot. If there are none installed, I'd advise adding them for customers comfort if they need to park in those spaces when spaces in front lot are not available as happened for us.

Breakfast was adequate, very clean, liked that they purport to be ecologically aware. Have no idea if they really are.

We stayed in a ‘handicapped” room and I have some real issues: Even though the bath tub had bars the bottom was very slippery There was no bath mat and I nearly slipped getting to a towel to stand on There was no extra plug by the bed to plug in a c-pap machine.

After staying at another hotel across the street this hotel was heaven! Actually felt like we were wanted there and it was so clean! Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!

The location was great along with a good hot breakfast.

Air conditioner had loud knocking noise and refrigerator barely cold. Woman at the desk was impatient and rude to my hygiene regarding a third party booking.

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location right off interstate. Room clean and breakfast was very good and dining area was kept very clean. Cookies at 6:00 p.m. in lobby a plus.

Everything was fine. Would definitely stay here again,

The breakfast was great. There were plenty of items to choose from. I had the big waffle, and it was delicious!

The only thing I noticed was that the bathtub was a little slippery when I got into it to take a shower.

Our stay wasn't long but our room was ready for our late arrival and the breakfast was good in the morning. They had a good variety of foods and drinks. I stopped at the Hampton because they were pet friendly. Good experience.
