La Quinta by Wyndham Wytheville

Very friendly atmosphere. I didn’t get her name, but there was a very sweet house keeper as we were leaving. She helped us a whole bunch. She needs a raise. Definitely a keeper. She told us she was from New York. It was very quiet and the rooms were very clean. The sheets were soft. Indoor pool open until midnight.

It’s outdated. The remote control had tape holding the batteries in. It has basic cable. The drain in the sink was cracked. There was only one tiny trash can for the whole room and it’s in the bathroom. No towels by the indoor pool Only 1 elevator. Sometimes you would be waiting a little while to get to your room. Nothing too major No shampoo and conditioner in the room No laundry facility The juices, eggs, biscuits, and sausage were very poor quality. Almost not edible. The waffles and bagels are good though. The room was muggy/wet feeling. The breakfast only lasts until 9 am.

The facility was upgraded, the room furniture was new and functional. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was scaled back from past stops that we made, but was still satisfactory and was included. A surprise was a $25 fee for my dog. In past visits our dog stayed free. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. Checkout was easy and got us out the door rather guickly. I will definitely stay there again.

I didn't like the $25 fee! We stayed at a La Quinta in Columbia South Carolina and our dog stayed free. In fact this is the only La Quinta that we stayed at that charges a pet fee.

Very friendly staff. Room was nice with comfortable beds. And bathroom had a fan to remove steam, which several hotels we have stayed at did not.

Small quibble--sink did not have a plug, which is a problem for putting contacts in. Also, while a fluke, hotel had a problem with the water heater while we were there, so showers were cold. Problem was fixed by the time we left.

The breakfast was sparse when we came down 30 minutes before the end time. We asked for some things to be refilled and it was taken care of right away. The front desk was very helpful.

There were some rambunctious kids upstairs from us and some loud guests across the hall. They didn't have any bottled water or soft drinks in the hotel or vending machines. The king bed was ok, just a little squeaky.

We were running late and had to ask to check in later like 10 to 11pm...No problem it was very easy and efficient with Booking .com having my back.... The free breakfast was filling and hot with nice variety...open early like 6.30 am for eggs..sausage..waffles..4 differ coffee types..

Not really any concerns wish we coulda tried out the pool but this was a stopping point on our way to Myrtle Beach..

Toothpaste on the wall under the mirror and I had not brushed my teeth, other than that...the refrigerator didn't work properly. Never got really cold. It was fairly clean other than that. I choose this hotel due to pet friendly. They charged me a fee and I was not expecting this. Probably would have paid a little more and stayed at another property, if I had know they were going to charge me for my dog

Location is good and the layout of the room is good and it is comfortable.

I know looks are important in most cases in places like this, but there was a mat that was in the bathtub. It was fading and looked dirty. Just didn't care for that. The toilet did not flush properly. And the water for the shower did not get hot enough.

very close to interstate. Amanda was VERY kind and courteous when we checked in. Parking lot was very well lit. I felt safe traveling alone.

Booking.com didn't list the cost for pet visit. Luckily I called ahead and knew price. Would have been nice to have cost included when making reservation.

Great location off of route 81 with a view of the mountains. The hotel is close to everything. The beds were very comfortable. We were traveling with a dog and this hotel accepts them for a small fee. The woman(only one at the front desk) at check in was extremely pleasant even though there were a bunch of harried travelers waiting to get checked in. The hotel was extremely clean throughout the property.

The rooms were clean but need to be updated. There was no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, coffee or extra roll of toilet paper in the room. We had to ask at the front desk for the items. They had all with the exception of the lotion. Very limited breakfast. Frozen waffles (the other La Quinta Inns have fresh ones).

we found this place because it was out halfway point on a long road trip. it was perfectly placed right off the freeway. hotel was welcoming and cozy from the beginning. the staff was awesome and helpful

the breakfast was a bit disappointing. there was t much to chose from. the one thing that we look forward for breakfast is the waffle maker and it wasn’t working. that is our only complaint.
