Georgetown Inn

The location of this hotel is unbeatable if you want to be in the heart of Georgetown, and it’s also the closest hotel to Georgetown University. The street is lined with great restaurants, cafés and shops and is 1- min walk to M Street. The hotel is charming, but in need of some renovation and updating. When was there the weekend of Jan 27-28, there was work being done in the lobby, so I’m hoping next time I’m there I’ll see an updated lobby. There are two bath robes and two slippers in the closet, which adds a nice touch.

The bathrooms are very dated and in need of updating. The pillows and bedding are sub par. For the prices this hotel charges, I was expecting a much more luxurious bed spread and some fluffy king size pillowcases instead of the mini ones on the king size bed. There’s also no fridge in the room.

Room was very comfortable. Would have been even better if there was a mini refrigerator - not a mini bar. Just a fridge. For the price, I thought that would be included. Staff was very friendly and top notch with one or two exceptions. Maids, waiters, and parking attendants all great. Food in the restaurant was good.

Room service tel# on the phone in the room was apparently not correct. I pressed the button and dialed the 113 extension with no answer. When I asked the front desk, they told me the tel# was either 114 or 120 (??)

Location is perfect. Close to everything in Georgetown. Staff was great. Room was very clean and comfortable.

It’s an older hotel and a little tired. Doesn’t detract from the comfort and it’s all fine, just shows its age in places. My room on third floor overlooked Wisconsin Avenue and it was a little noisy because of the older windows. I’m from NYC, so it didn’t keep me up, but not quiet. Gym is tiny, tiny and bike was out of order, leaving just a treadmill and some dumbbells as only equipment in the gym.

The location is excellent if you want to stay in this very cool neighbour. The hotel is old school in that the rooms are very generous in size. Plenty of room for the bags as we were travelling for a month. The neighbourhood is great. Nice shops, old taverns and a 30 minute walk to all the monuments and Smithsonian museums. Good for walking off the beers from the taverns!

Location. I liked the water filter in the lobby. Luggage men are great people!

Pillows and beds should be replaced. Restaurant should be open during the week. Every room should have a fridge. Lobby should have a bathroom. Television is too far from bed.

The location was awesome for walking around Georgetown! The staff was friendly and discreet, and the on-site parking was a bonus. The room was large and the bed was sooo comfy! The experience, overall was awesome! We only stayed 2 nights and weren't able to check out the bar, but it looked great from a distance!

There really wasn't much to complain about - our room was very nice! If I had a critique it was the lack of a refrigerator and in-room safe...but those were not major issues for us, just would have been nice conveniences.

The location was wonderful. The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. There was also a nice workspace with ample outlets.

The water pressure in the shower was very poor and the hairdryer was old and awful. For women these are two things that can make or break their day when getting ready in the morning and I do not know why hotels always have horrible hair dryers...

The room was well appointed, large and well air-conditioned; it was an extremely comfortable room. The area around the hotel was excellent with lots of great shops, restaurants and bars - a lovely and characterful part of the city. One of the best features was that the bus stop to downtown was right outside the door. The staff on reception were always helpful and very informative.

The restaurant and bar attached to the hotel was not open in the evenings we were there.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the Georgetown area is lovely. The staff is nice and helpful. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in town for business.

The location makes it a bit difficult to get into the center of town quickly. The hotel can call a taxi for you but those taxis were usually slower than just catching an Uber.

the location was great. Valet gentleman was very welcoming.

Front desk was not welcoming when contacted about check in procedures and mobile key. The tone was rude. When checking in the front desk receptionist was worried about the customer next to me requesting a different room even though they were being attended by another front desk receptionist than providing me information during my check in.
