Hotel Windrow

Right in the heart of town, this hotel is fresh and spotless, with elevated features and decor. Ellensburg itself is a surprisingly charming town and so worth the jaunt away from highway 90– Hotel Widrow has so much more character than the national hotel chains and it’s right down the street from the best breakfast spot I’ve been to in a long time— The Early Bird Café. My daughter and I were so impressed with our meals and loved walking around charming Ellensburg with its turn of the century buildings. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice; clean and tidy. The room had a king sized bed and was very comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious and the shower was quite nice. The staff were super helpful and the hotel was pet friendly.

The room was towards the back alley right adjacent to the dumpster. Unfortunately, garbage pick up seems to happen at 4 AM every day and the rooms were not very well sound proofed. We were woken up to the loud clanging of the dumpster being emptied, which was a bit unfortunate, as the the rest of the experience of the hotel was quite nice.

What a phenomenal hotel. I love the Windrow and have already booked my rooms for my next trip to Ellensburg. The staff is exceptional (shoutout to Logan and Michelle and I'm forgetting another young lady at the front desk), the rooms are clean and comfortable. Having Basalt on the premises is an added bonus as is the nearby free parking and the free and ample wifi. Cool things in the room: full size blow dryer, full size iron, reading light next to the bed.

If I could change one thing it would be the small countertop space in the bathroom. When traveling, there are lots of bottles and tubes all on the counter. It was a cluttered mess with the limited sink space.

The bed was super comfy (I haven't slept that well in a long time) the shower was huge, the TV had a Chrome Cast so I could watch Netflix and streaming services from my phone which was awesome. The pillows were nice, the AC was SUPER cold! The view from our window was great. The furniture in the room was comfortable and had a high end feel. This room far exceeded our expectations. The front entrance to the hotel has a turn style type door for some home alone vibes, there was a nice restaurant inside the hotel and the lobby had a grand feel with high vaulted ceilings. They could make you an espresso at the front desk as well, the front desk employees were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The hotel itself is in a great central location on main Street and there are some pretty good restaurants within walking distance. I would without a doubt stay here again. I wouldn't give it a second thought! If you are looking to stay in Ellensburg, look no further, stay here and you won't be disappointed!

If I had to choose one thing to be nit-picky about. I would say I wish there was a vending machine in the hotel for bottles of water, soda or snacks. Also the restaurant opens at 4pm which I thought was kind of late, I would have figured it would be at least open for lunch, but oh well. Nothing that would stop me from staying here again and again!

It is a very nice, clean comfortable hotel. It is modern with fun touches. I was concerned about taking my dog out in the AM (security). Not a thing to worry about. Very quiet place even the alley's were clean. I'm from Spokane and I'd never use an alley here.

The room was by the elevator. I asked for another room but they only had another room by the elevator. It was not as big an issue as I'd thought it might be. The bathroom fan and the room fan to the AC covered the extraneous sounds. We had our dog and I was concerned that if he heard it our people he'd bark. But it was all good.

This hotel is always outstanding. Customer service is amazing. It is the best kept secret in Ellensburg!

Lights under the wall mount beside nightstand still do not work. They did at first, but now they aren't working. They were really a nice touch. However, the underside light in the disabled queen/queen room goes off an on all night long. Also, I've mentioned before that a light above the coffee station in the room would be helpful. I last stayed in November 2021 and mentioned it, but it's still not added.

The hotel is well maintained. The rooms are comfy beds and nice contemporary furniture and fixtures. Nice bar & restaurant that’s got an open floor plan that really gives it a stylish look. Competent, professional staff. Pleasant housekeeping staff. Very clean hotel throughout. I look forward to my next stay.

Parking lot closest to hotel was full. Used the lot that was gated instead. The guest front desk market was not stocked with travelers likes: Water or sodas. What it did have was sparse. I travel 50 weeks a year and that Is an important convenience after a long day. The rear building exit to parking lot needs a sign on it and directions. I wandered around looking for the access door on 2 different floors before finally trying the right door to exit.

The location is excellent. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The hotel has a great restaurant with a good selection of food choices and fun cocktails. The dessert selection is great as well. Not an average hotel restaurant. Definitely more upscale than anywhere else in Ellensburg. This would always be my go-to place.

The only suggestion that I would make is that I think a light above the Keurig coffee machine in the room would help. Even with the room's lights on, it's a bit dark, and a light above it would help, especially when either late at night, or in the early morning, when the room is dark.

Disappointed in the quality of food for breakfast, which was, for all intents and purposes heated up fast food. I was hoping for a freshly cooked breakfast, however I do understand that in order to justify those services the hotel would need to be fully booked most of the time. The fact that it was close to other amenities was good.

Very modern facilities in a very historic building. The entire hotel was up to date and modern, also very clean. Everything that downtown Ellensburg has to offer is within walking distance.

Bar/restaurant were only open for a few days a week and that was only for a few hours. There were plenty of other places to go within an easy walk, It seems as though owning a truck in Ellensburg means removing the exhaust and driving past Hotel Windrow at six in the morning. Ask for a room off of the main drag.
