Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tacoma South - Lakewood, an IHG Hotel

The room was spacious and inviting. It smelled fresh and not like disinfectant. A mini fridge and microwave, closet, desk alcove and sitting area. Linens high quality and spares in the closet. WiFi great. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. A variety each morning. The pancake machine was a nice treat. Staff was friendly and knew their jobs.

The coffee that came out of the in room Keurig machine was awful. So I didn’t use it. I don’t doubt I could have gotten a replacement. Also, the location area around the hotel seemed a little sketchy.

The food selection for breakfast was really good. The room we stayed in (two queen beds) was really comfortable both temperature wise and feel. There was hardly any lights in the room at night, which made it easy to sleep.

The shower head was a bit gross, (to the point I would not feel comfortable drinking the shower water) and when asked to address it I was told that maintenance would look at it and nothing happened after that word.

The staff were amazing. The room was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious. I came fir my husband birthday and we will be back for mine. I highly recommend this hotel. O and the jacuzzi was huge and I already miss it.

We told them at check in that we wanted.to.pay in cash. We also asked if they were going to charge our card the night front desk lady said no but they did for authorization reasons. It was right around Christmas and really messed things up for us.

We were able to get a nice secluded room on the top floor. Traveling with a baby under a year we were worried about her making too much noise at night. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent.

There is a gap between the bottom of the room door and floor. Had there been a lot of foot traffic on the top floor the noise would have been unfortunate. The bathroom sink faucet would leak.

The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The location was great, close to highway

The rooms were not soundproofed, so you could hear noise from the highway

Everything is going good. Facility was clean and no odor. Breakfast was amazing, coffee and tea were delicious, hot. tables were cleaned.

Room 224 had a problem with sink in the bathroom. Water was stuck in the sink. No maintenance on weekends! other hotels have a maintenance.

Attended a friends anniversary and stayed overnight at hotel which was very close to his home. Location was great, asked for a quiet room and got one. The hotel staff at checkin and breakfast were very helpful. Breakfast was adequate. I would recommend the hotel.

Staff was great, especially Robert at the Front Desk. Breakfast was very good. King Suite was beautiful and clean.

Only thing that was not exceptional was the surrounding area. There were a few sketchy people walking around.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was exceptional, breakfast was wonderful and most important to me was the hotel was very, very clean. We would definitely recommend.

I liked that the staff were accommodating to me checking in earlier than the time stated. they were super friendly even though they were short staffed. the housekeepers were especially nice, great visit overall.
