Wingate by Wyndham Parkersburg - Vienna

The outdoor patio is a great, low-key spot to relax. There is a fire pit, grill, and plenty of furniture. And it is right next to the (all-day available) coffee and tea. There's also a grill available. The pool and hot tub were open at the time of my visit, but I did not use them. The hotel is on a main street in Vienna and connected to just about everything you need! Try some of the LOCAL restaurants: Tudors biscuit world, Mary B's, Polo Club (outstanding ribs!), or the QWagon in nearby Belpre. The breakfast area is kept very clean. Breakfast is available 4 hours a day, 6-10. (Pass on the eggs.)

I'm not sure why they are posting the negative part first, but it really was a fine stay. My only negative feedback is that the bathroom needed sprucing up, particularly in the shower. As a hotel guest, I was thrice overlooked and ignored by a brunette female staff member working evenings. Once, she walked past me at the desk without acknowledging me and spoke to those checking in. They kindly let the attendant know that it was my turn and I was taken care of. Another time, she overlooked me to answer the phone, but instead of putting them on hold and asking if I needed anything, she made me wait through a reservation booking. As a suggestion, the hotel could benefit from larger pillows. They were unimpressive (but still nice!) compared to the bed.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Air Conditioner worked very well. Shower pressure was good. Price was better than others in the area. Employees were pretty friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean but I will say the caulking in the shower could be replaced as it was stained with black. Also large black stain on carpet. Not a big deal for us though considering the price of stay compared to other hotels in the area.

Love the atmosphere of the hotel and the amities. Beds are very comfortable!!!

Eggs taste bad breakfast not the best. A light in our room did not work. Had to call hotel as my card was charged, not held but charged the room cost even though I paid in cash. Was told manager was not there and that they had a new staff member working the night I checked in and that somebody should of been there with him as he was still in training. The person I spoke to on phone wasn’t sure what he did when he checked us in but told me if it didn’t come off by Wednesday to call the hotel again. Kind of a headache as the worker we checked in with said money would NOT be taken off card just a hold would be put on it.

The tvs are huge! The beds are made for a king and queen! Sooo comfortable! The entire facility is impeccably clean! The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly! Especially to our pet! And no charge for her since she's a service animal and no trouble w explaining it either. Also upgraded to a suite for a minimal upcharge. Will recommend this hotel to anyone.

my wife and i were traveling from Ohio for a birthday party in Parkersburg.. and we specifically stayed at this hotel all weekend for the 24hr pool that was advertised online.. and my boys LOVED IT!! they were happy about getting to swim till midnight, everynight! the hot breakfast was delicious both mornings, & the rooms were very clean! will most definitely be staying again when we return to the area!!

Simple breakfast and served quick. Hotel was clean and the rooms were big. The self-laundry room was a bonus for travelers on the go. Hotel staff was friendly and provided professional and prompt assistance.

We have stayed at this property many times over the years and are saddened to see it slightly lacking in upkeep. Tuna were leaking, toilets hard to flush, doors scratched up etc. Overall good value just hope they put a bit more to upkeep it

There were no unexpected surprises, everything was as advertised and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The night before the experience was not Wyndham, and couldn't even come close to the service and facilities. Thank you all for doing a great job at your job; so as a healthcare professional, I can relax when I'm not doing my job.

I liked how friendly the staff were as well as extremely accommodating. !

I didn't like the discount amount that Wyndham offers for traveling nurses. I think it should be more, especially for Healthcare workers that come from all over the United States to help out.

The breakfast bar had a large assortment of food and drinks. Loved the room and how quiet it was. Stayed in a close by town 2 nights before and it was noisy and the beds were not comfortable. Also neighbor had dog that barked all during the night.
