Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Athens

This hotel was the cleanest Marriott property that my wife and I have stayed. The hotel was immaculate. It seemed brand new. The staff were all very genuine, extremely kind and remarkably helpful without being patronizing. Every person on the staff smiled and greeted us professionally whenever we were walking through the lobby or the Cafe. WOW! What an incredible hotel.

I do not like that this hotel and staff are not everywhere that we travel. Can you please transplant them all.

The breakfast offerings were great. Each morning, there were eggs, bacon/sausage, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, several flavors of yogurt, fresh fruit, a waffle station, cold cereal, juice, milk and coffee/tea all day. The staff was terrific. Caitlin and Cindy were so helpful! Our room was clean and the bed/pillows were so comfortable. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room.

The property was easy to get to, clean, and the beds so comfy. The price was a great deal for the time we went. The staff was friendly. I would go back again!

The only tiny negative was I registered three people to the room and only had two towels for 3 people. I only stayed one night and we all had to take a shower the next day for a funeral so no big deal, I called down for a towel and no one ever came up with one. I was able to get one from a crew who was on our floor cleaning rooms. The other snag was parking. I had to walk in and ask the front desk where we could park, they suggested going out of the hotel lot and (onto the major thoroughfare)and turn left into the lot next door where their employees sometimes park. I was concerned about towing with a sign on the property to that effect. There were quite a few work trucks parked in the spaces.

all was fine. I'd ask for a room on the back side which looks into a forested hillside... the king deluxe was a great room for work and rest

great location with rooms on the backside looking into a gorgeous hill... however, management need to clean up trash on the hill, which somewhat ruined the beauty; way to many LEDs in the room. take your post it notes to cover the microwave, which reflects brightly into a mirror which reflects into the bed; be prepared to cover two large clocks. staff were great, but i didn't want to give an address (all this information everywhere and I'd already given my info to the booking agency) and the manager was a bit harsh and abbrassive, which i deserved, but you don't do that in management toward clients

I loved the rooms were clean and the bathroom was as well.

The water had an extremely oily feel to it felt as if there was no need for soap it was that oily. It's hard to explain but no matter how much soap you used the water was so weird on my skin

This property was well kept up, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, it was quiet, easily accessible for travelers, staff friendly, the breakfast was better than most hotels and all of these things are important to us.

Everything else. We had a wonderful surprise, I don't know what location they were but we could see the fireworks from our room. That was a great perk. Even if we hadn't seen them the stay was very wonderful.

Ice machine - need one on each end, we all aren't college students 😊 Needed to have bacon on the breakfast buffet, if they were out Kroger AND Walmart across the street. I'm just used to your properties having it all.

The breakfast was wonderful. Coffee good

Parking was a pain later in the day. Trucks were noisy starting up in the morning.

Large room/executive suite; clean, attractive, quiet; great shower; large refillable bottles in shower of shampoo, etc.

I thought the price was a bit too high even though it is summer.
