Hampton Inn Wausau

I was worried being placed on and ground floor on the highway side of the building - but the hotel was completely full and I was a last minute reservation - they even gave me the handicap accessible room- even though we didn’t ask for it. But I was so impressed - it was so quiet - even though we were just down from the lobby - and a nice comfortable clean room. Waking distance to some restaurants - good breakfast. I’d stay here again.

Staff was very attentive. Bed was very comfortable! Loved the indoor pool and spa. Temps were great!

Housekeeping on the first try was insufficient. After a quick discussion with the front desk, everything was resolved and the room was great!

The nice lady at the front desk made accommodations for us. I took my mother to visit my grandmother that weekend. This is why we only stayed for one night. She was nice enough to move the rooms right next to each other so we could utilize the divided door. We were so blessed. And the breakfast was amazing. I didn't catch her name, but she was an excellent hostess in the breakfast area. That lady was nice, answered questions, and kept the place clean.

No comments everything was pleasant.

Two things could have been better. We were in a 2 queen bed room and one of the beds had springs that squealed whenever you moved and the fitted sheet did not stay on the mattress. the room did not have a night light so we kept the light on in the bathroom but the light was attached to the fan which was very loud.

I could not believe the amount of waste in this hotel (and most Hampton Inn). Breakfast ware are all disposable without any type of recycling being done. I could not believe an Hotel of this size did not offer any type of recycling... Shameful is the only word that comes to mind!

Very friendly, welcoming staff member upon arrival. We were kindly wished a good day upon dropping off the keys. Very nice pool!

I wish the fan would have run constantly; it was auto on/off and that made sleeping difficult as I had forgotten my earplugs. I did not report this to the front desk nor did I ask for earplugs so this one's on me.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable, the shower was warm and the grab and go breakfast was very nice.

The room was great. I do believe though that there should be lighter weight blankets in the rooms. The comforters inside the duvets are always way too much. Usually wherever we stay there are a few complimentary bottles of water. Also, why is there no one to collect your key card when you leave? I found that a bit strange.

Our room was very clean, the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I also like that the curtains had the option of closing completely (and thick enough) so that morning light didn’t come in.

Nothing I didn’t like.

Everything was great! I booked this super last minute as I had to stay over unexpectedly.
