The Lapis Hotel

The service at this hotel was exceptional, nothing was too hard for the staff and they gave us many helpful tips of what to see and do in Hanoi. We had a few problems with paying for tours etc (our credit card) and the staff went out of their way to help us get it sorted out. The rooms were older style so very very comfortable and I was sad to leave. The pool on the 11th floor is lovely and one of our favorite's.

Not that we didn't like it but our only whinge about this hotel was it wasn't closer to the shopping ie shoe street, train street etc but saying that it was only a 15 min walk and or a 2 min taxi ride so I would still stay here again because of how great the service was.

This hotel is located in the French Quarter and only a short walk from the main busy area of the Old Quarter which made it perfect and quiet for a family stay and also allowed us to walk off all the excess Vietnamese cuisine we have been indulging in! Only a short 10-15 minute stroll at most but a great way to explore the streets and areas of Hanoi. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well kept and the staff super helpful. We also lost my husband’s mobile phone I. our room and they were so accommodating in helping us I. our search and arranging it’s save return - we were super grateful for al their efforts. We loved our stay at The Lapis and highly recommended this hotel to others visiting Hanoi.

Nothing at all. I would mention that one of the main reasons we booked the hotel was that it had a rooftop pool - only to discover upon check in that it was unavailable due to maintenance (however the Jacuzzi was). When travelling with kids this is a big factor for us so we would have preferred to know ahead of time but as it turns out the weather was cool over our stay and didn’t inconvenience us too much at all.

Confortable bed. Ultra confortable

The wifi that was sooooo not efficient The heat must affect the staff… slow to respond. Of course not all of them but I did expect a strong more energetic service. Water should be available inside and outside for the clientele’s at anytime without waiting. When asking for water, it should be dealt with efficiency not like if it was the end of the world

Not going to lie, I did choose this place because of the stunning rooftop pool. We had an 18-hour layover and this hotel was perfect. It was close enough to see Hanoi sights, comfortable enough to get quality rest and the rooftop pool was the perfect place to cool down after a hot day to head back for our connecting flight. The staff were so helpful & accommodating. They even helped us get laundry done, arranged for a taxi pickup and allowed us to use the rooftop pool & showers to freshen up in the afternoon after checking out. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel, especially the very friendly and helpful staff, rooftop pool, and breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable with lovely beds and very clean sheets. The breakfast was tasty and changed a bit everyday. The airport transfers were useful and quick. AC worked really well and was nice and cool. Room service ended kind of early compared to other hotels but the location was so good so it didn’t matter because you could find somewhere open at any time.

nothing our stay was perfect!

Our arrival was met by very friendly and helpful staff. The room was of a good size, very clean with very comfortable beds. The infinity pool is located on the 11th floor and overlooks part of the city, which is great after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is located a few blocks from the old town, which is easily reached by foot. The neighbourhood seemed very safe. Would certainly recommend. Reception staff were always on hand to answer questions and make recommendations as to where to eat

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and comfortable. The pool and gym facilities were amazing - all clean and very well maintained and the pool has great views over the city. Location is good - around a 20 minute walk from most things in the Old Quarter / around Hoan Kiem Lake

The room / bathroom was a little smaller than we'd expected, especially in relation to other hotels we had stayed in in Hanoi / Vietnam. There was only a small window in the corner of the room that looked onto another wall, so we didn't receive much natural light in the room.

Beautiful place with comfy beds, nice looking rooms, great staff and stunning infinity swimming pool. Health club is located on the roof top and it's open from 6:00 to 22:00. There's also gym with few weights, spinner and treadmill. In addition, there's jacuzzi and finnish sauna as well as steam sauna. They tried to accomodate us as vegans with stir fry noodles and fried rice for breakfast, which was nice. Receptionist managed call with my food delivery driver successfully when I handed him phone in panic because I dont speak Vietnamese and driver didnt speak English.

We were given only one acess card to room which was rather impractical (but I guess it's common here, maybe if we asked..). Also, it would be nicer if saunas had some timer or visible clocks.

Large room cleaned daily with a balcony. Large comfortable bed. Really good breakfast. Sauna,steam room and jacuzzi. Pool was good however if it was crowded there isn’t many loungers and the pool is only reasonably sized. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free upgrade given on arrival.

Our shower door was not functioning correctly therefore the bathroom would be covered in water after every shower, only a minor inconvenience. Tv didn’t work however staff were happy to help assist quickly and efficiently.
