Close to where we needed to be. Clean and staff were friendly.

Loud party on the Saturday night. Pillows are either quite hard or incredibly soft. Cost is quite high for one night.

The beds were very comfy and my daughter loved the pool. Breakfast had a good selection and the atmosphere was good. Light and airy.

The room was looking a bit "tired". There has obviously been a water issue with the shower as the skirting board in the main room (behind the shower) was badly water damaged (swollen timber, cracked paint, etc) and the carpet had shrunk away from the wall. There was hand soap for the vanity which was good because the body wash pump pack in the shower was empty. There were three people staying in a double room, but only two towels..... My daughter used them both!!! I used the hand towel. 😔 Since my review of the Statesman hotel, last week, I checked out the top of the built-in headboard and it too was covered in a pretty good layer of dust. It must be a thing!

The car parking system The automated registration identifier does not work and desk staff have to open door. The garage door has to close before opening again, this causes long queues to get out. This needs to be updated. Secondly on our check out day, we were in the queue to get out and we buzzed reception to be let out. We buzzed twice and were subsequently abused by a hotel employee in the car behind us for pushing the buzzer twice. The damaged door (see picture), I couldn't believe this amount of damage (appeared that someone had jimmied the door to open it with something like a crowbar) could go unnoticed by hotel staff & that room be allocated to guests when clearly there were many unoccupied rooms!? The shower having no door always caused the whole bathroom floor to be awash - very poor design and quite difficult to rectify (used many towels to dry the floor), if it can't be rectified suggest each bathroom has a "squeegee"

The beds really comfy, rooms have nice decor, the dining and area that is available for relaxation or a cocktail was vast but also private and a intimate spot can be found for a cocktail or coffee. Lobby dining and bar area really lovely flowing/relaxing feel. Would definitely visit again. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall, very enjoyable experience.

Coffee machine did not work at breakfast and that was disappointing however I am sure just a 1 off lots of other options to choose from. Grout in shower needs a good scrub. Extra towel for extra guest forgotten.

Clean hotel, reasonably priced rooms, good and peaceful location, nice atmosphere at the hotel bar with water fountains and trees.

Generally overcharging a bit for everything except for the rooms. Overpriced parking, especially during weekends when the street parking is free. Overpriced breakfast, the cafes nearby serve excellent breakfast for less. Kids meals at the hotel bar are $20, which is a lot for basic kids meals. The whole pool and gym area was closed without mentioning it clearly in the description. Only basic TV channels, no satellite or any other channels.

comfortable room with an extra bed. LED TV, no balcony. Service to the room was quick and precise. Buffet Breakfast was included, and was the hghlight with a good spread of cereals, fruits, juices, beverages,breads and mains. The place was crowded at 8am itself, so a lot of the locals are aware of this deal. It also seems Buffet is served on weekends only and I could be wrong...the remaining days the hotel looked pretty empty.

Everything was OK.. they did charge for parking at $18 per night with unlimied entries, and I guess you could have parked your vehicle off the street, just 2 mins away. Would have helped if this was mentioned clearly on the Booking website. Sauna pool was crowded and swimming pool is not heated.

Everything. Particularly the Service and professionalism of the very obliging staff. They are to be highly commended. Our dining experience was excellent, the layout and privacy whilst in the restaurant amongst the greenery was spot on. The complimentary gym and pool where a great incentive to choose your motel. Thankyou all. When in Canberra next we will definitely stay at the Rydges.

I requested a coffee and was told it would take 30 minutes, which was quite inconvenient and disappointing.
