Convenient location a couple of minutes walk from the main train station and the central mall. Room was basic but clean and it had all the things someone might need for a comfortable stay. Lovely large public lounge area and kitchen where you can make a cuppa or heat up some food. There was also a small balcony which was a good place to sit and watch the early-morning commuters. Manager was very accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage at the hotel through the day as I had a late flight. I also had use of the lounge and kitchen after checkout, which was very much appreciated. I had a single room, which I felt was generous in size and noise-free. Good value for money if you need somewhere inexpensive to stay.

There was nothing that I didn't like, although a TV in the room might have been appreciated.

A quiet room in a beautiful old interior right in the city centre opposite the railway station. Our room was a clean, very clean large unit equipped with ensuite, tv, mwave fridge. It is a spacious backpackers with shared full kitchen and large lounge, and interesting folk for conversation. Characterful with many wallpics. Great staff, very helpful.

Really trivial: Limited access to book in when arriving on a late flight. The security door on entry. Completely necessary for our safety in the city centre here.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was fantastic. The staff were very considerate and conscious of patron safety. Very interesting old building right in the heart of the city I really appreciated the excellent communication as my plane was delayed +++ and I was met at the door by a welcoming face very late in the night. Thank you Stephen. I was very grateful for your assistance.

Of course, there was some street noise as the location is city central. The location is sandwiched between restaurants and bars, with the main train station across the road and a major hospital and ambulance dispatch down the road

Great value single room with everything I needed for my 2 night stay. Shared kitchen and lounge downstairs. The caretaker, Steven, made early check in easy and I was able to store my bags securely and by the time I returned late afternoon, Steven had taken my bags upstairs to my room for me. He had also taken a pedestal fan up for me, which was much appreciated. Located a 2 min walk from the central train station but I had no problem with noise keeping me awake. Overall a great stay at a great price.

Nothing I didn’t like

The location is great. The staff were really, really friendly and helpful. The other guests were great too. I thought 12pm check-in was really convenient. It only cost about $60-something but I still had my own bathroom.

Whoever stayed before me must've smelt horrific because I could still smell it in the doona, even though the cover had been changed. Maybe you need to wash the whole doona next time, not just the cover? (Not their fault though).

The staff member cleaning the rooms (his name is Jim if I remember well) is a nice english guy. It was a pleasure to have a chat with him every time I came across him. The room was big and the bed very comfy.

The staff should check above the cupboard and the mirror in the bathroom as I found a cigarette hidden above the mirror. However, it is not a drama at all. In general, I liked my stay.

The hotel has an excellent location near to many historical places of visit and also near to Perth Busport , Perth Station and Perth Underground . There are eating houses , souvenir shops , retail shops , convenience stores , Woolworths supermarket . There is a kinda close sense of community spirit on the streets .

Lovely welcoming and helpful lady at front desk. Lots of separate and open space to spend time.

Floors and stairs are a bit creaky and some inconsiderate guests slamming doors. Wouldn’t like to spend summer here tho maybe as there is no air conditioning in the room, just a ceiling fan.

No breakfast. It’s a budget hotel, so if all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep, absolutely excellent. There seems to be very adequate kitchen facilities for those that wish to cook.

A little dated. No lift. Café that is within the property only does Tea/coffee and cake and only open in morning.
