The Ritz-Carlton, Perth

I spoilt my partner for his birthday, and we had a wonderful time on the second night but the first night was another story. enjoyed the cocktails and the hotel atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very inviting.

The noise damping between the rooms is not up to scratch. On our first night, we were kept awake until 2 am with excessive talking and very loud behavior in the next-door room. Had to ring for help twice before they were able to sort it out and on our mobile phone as the room phone was not working. We were not able to visit the songbird lounge after checking in on our first night as the bar was full. I do feel that hotel guests should have priority in hotel facilities when visiting. To be charged the full price of our stay plus a bond as a pre-authorization is okay on arrival but then to be charged again upon leaving for the full charge of the room feels a little like double dipping. Wondering when the pre-authorization charge will be reimbursed back to my account.

In room breakfast was good not excellent. Meals were hot and satisfying and if we had butter for toast and some salt then it could of been perfect.

I'd expect a 6 star hotel to be opened for dinner every evening. If it was not for The Oyster Bar then we could not get a restaurant meal anywhere on a Sunday night. When you are paying close to $1000 per night to pay additional for Valet is robbery.

The hotel is beautiful, the amenities are great. The staff were great and the location is also great. The view from our room was also beautiful.

The beds were hard. We both left with very sore hips and backs (were in our 30s so this is not common for us), and comparing it to Crown Hotels (which is the closest comparable hotel), the beds were a let down at the Ritz. Crown beds feel luxurious and they are feather soft and comfortable which is what you expect at a luxury hotel. Songbird was closed for service outside when we went. We went to the bar to watch the sunset, so having outside service closed wasn't what we were expecting in the middle of summer.

The ritz Carlton Perth is a beautiful architectural building paved in majestic purple pavers and timber cladding through out. The bedroom we were allocated was on the 10th floor over looking the swan river. Me and my partner both said hands down the bed is the. most plush and comfiest we have ever slept in. The room lay out its self is 10 fold over the crown towers rooms, with the bathroom being nearly the same size as the bedroom and ample of space. The buffet breakfast was spot on! and In a beautiful modern luxe restaurant. (love the cocktail bar)

The pool area isn’t quite big enough very crammed . I also ordered a beef burger for room service and was deffianlty better off buying $30 worth of burgers from McDonald’s. When it came to our room being cleaned, all that was done was our bed made. They left our bin full, didn’t take last nights dinner. Just disappointing coming back after being out for the day and it not being spotless!

Amazing location and view from our Studio River View room. Staff kindly upgraded us for our honeymoon and surprised us with wine and cake on arrival to our room. Staff went above and beyond, excellent customer service. The pool was lovely and perfectly heated, such good views. The hotel was nice and never too much noise. We got to enjoy the Elizabeth Quay light show from our room as a bonus!

As our room was river view we had a lot of sun on the room. Despite the air-conditioner being on for over 24 hours our room continued to heat up to 25 degrees inside temp. Maintenance checked the air conditioner and fixed it but our room was still unconformably warm. The staff moved us to a different room promptly and without any hassle to us, we were very thankful.

Communication with front desk staff was a little confused, at times. I received an email stating my room would be ready to check-in at midday, however when I arrived I was told check-in is not until 3pm. We were told we could go and wait at the hotel pool, however the pool area seems on the small side for the size and capacity of the hotel with minimal seating at all, let alone anything being available as the pool area was beyond busy and cramped with nowhere to even sit on a towel on the ground.

Our room was ready to book into early and we were advised so we could be there early too. As you open the door the blinds go up and displays the most wonderful view. This room was truly spectacular with everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was beautiful and there was plenty to choose from. I loved that the ladies & gentlemen (the staff) were right on the ball with hot drinks and fresh cutlery. Truly exceptional. The dinner service in the same restaurant I must admit I was a little dubious about what dinner would be like and I was amazed and enchanted by the very delicious selections in the 3 course meal selection. Everything including the wine and the wonderful service was second to none. A very big thank you for acknowledging our wedding anniversary as well.

About the only thing I could even mention was the very slow drink service in the bar. The aircon woke us up every time it kicked in during the night.

A new grand hotel, nicely situated in a very recently developed part of the waterfront, very close to the various ferries & tour boats & many restaurants.

The electronic devices in our otherwise super room, somehow lived their own life. The hands free telephone receiver didn’t work, but luckily one could speak to the phone itself. The electrically motored blinds & sheets, certainly lived their own life, now & then coming down & opening up without any to us comprehensible plan. The air condition was blowing icy air directly down in our faces while sleeping, which prompted us to shut it off in periods.

Location, beautiful rooms- massive large bathroom with all the complimentary bits and bobs you'd wouldn't always get, Everything screamed quality and a lot of thought went into what amenities people would require. Outstanding river views - loved the blinds which were operational from the bedhead - either fully blocked out or partially if desired. Room service was fantastic - Food presentation and taste had the WOW factor - 24/7 is always a bonus. comfy bed, great range of assorted things in bar fridge and snack draws. great lighting . Buffet Breakfast downstairs 10/10 Cleanliness

Only thing I could pick on to do with our overall stay was the TV and Programs situation - seemed to be to hard to workout any program we happened to gain access to wasn't worth watching - WiFi ?? we didn't have any. We used our own phone data to access music, we were happy with that, the rest of the place compensated for it :-)

The hotel is glamorous and the location is perfect. We had a suite and the size was fabulous, huge living room and dinning area with extra guest toilet, bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was big and the shower luxurious. We had in room dining on first night as the view from our room was stunning and we knew a restaurant would not match it in view. The area around the hotel is still under construction so there were a few restaurants and bars but no retail shops. The nearest shopping area was about a 15 minute walk but easy assessable. We loved Elizabeth Quay and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is understaffed - there is no way to get hold of house keeping, room service unless you phone customer relations (who are really the front desk staff and always busy on calls or with guests), which was frustrating as we had no soap on arrival and also the cleaner did not come the following day until after 2pm when we called and then forgot to replace a few items in the room - so calling was a 'painful' procedure. Also because the reception is set back from the lobby the hotel feels impersonal, you don't really see hotel staff or feel like a guest unless you make your way to the reception.
