L'hotel Island South

Like the staffs, room sizes are good. Bath tub are of good size. Family room is great. The ambience is nice. Nearby MTR station Wong Chuk Hang. Downstairs had 2 industrial canteens which give HKer typical breakfast set. Near by Ocean Park. Its good. It is at the Southern District of the HK Island.

It is not in the city area, as such you may have not much choices of breakfasts and got to take buses or MTRs to elsewhere for food and attractions. U will experience longer transport time if u r not familiar with HK buses routes.

Location was good close to my family’s place. Room was comfortable and staff were good.

1. As a single female traveler I would suggest make sure you place them in a room closer to the lift for safety issues. The room I was in could do with a bit of maintenance, battery in safe was low so could not store anything, the door was not very secure you could push it a little open before the lock would stop it, the lock battery on door, always took several passes of my room key before it unlocked and as I said earlier as a single traveler did not feel very safe.

Highly recommend. The stay was enjoyable and relaxed. Surrounding was quiet. Housekeeping staff was observant and attentive to the need (extra bottled water) for us. We didn't even bring up. Shower amenties for shampoo, body foam, and conditioner smell so good. It did help to relax the body. Last but not least, receptionists were approachable and friendly, lobby was comfy.

Around the hotel doesn't have much food so have to pack/grab food. But it was not really an issue for us since we still travelled out. There were 2 curtains beside the bathtub. The curtain between showers and the sleeping corner was placed on a weird side, so if you are travelling with friends, you may feel uneasy to bathe when they are in the room because there are unnecessary gaps to see through the bathroom. The curtain was controlled outside of the bathroom. For us, we are a couple. Hence, it didn't affect us much.

Outside of Hustle and Bustle of HK yet relatively quick commute to the city (Hk island) from bus and mtr stations within short walk. Price i got (average Hk$860 pn) was very reasonable especially with a spacious clean room.

Although the walk to the mtr station isn't long, there is no covered walkway. got pretty wet as i didn't have an umbrella when it rained. Also really nothing much to see or do in the vicinity for eating, retail especially at night and even the parks/ hiking trails are a good distance away.

The room is spacious, The view in the upper floors nice. Breakfast is OK, however, the plates should be warmed, as the meal components get cold very fast. Maybe it is in general too loud, but that is due to the mostly chinese guests. There need not be loud musik in addition. For coffee and tea they should have also cans, since the pickup of individual cups takes too much time.

The bath room is too dark, the bathtub is too short. Else all OK.

My recent stay at a hotel in Hong Kong was overall a very positive experience. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally hospitable, making me feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout my visit. The room was also notably spacious, especially by Hong Kong standards, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment

The hotel's somewhat remote location initially seemed like a downside, but thanks to the city's well-developed transportation system, getting to the central parts of the city was surprisingly easy.

The staff in Reception, restaurant and housekeeping are friendly and efficient. The location is perfect for me as I am familiar with the area with bus stops in front of the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included in my package, I paid to go and was quite happy.

When the hotel was fully booked, some guests especially on our floor are too loud and noisy we can hear from our room.

We chose this place as our accommodation for our entire two weeks holidays in Hong Kong. It nestles in a quiet industrial/office area with a local restaurant next door servicing nearby workers during breakfast and lunch time. The room is spacious and clean. The double sized beds and pillows are very comfortable for both adults and kids. It takes about 6 minutes to walk to Wong Chuk Hung MTR station and a number of bus stops situated right in front of the hotel entrance.

unfortunately the swimming pool is undergoing some renovation so wasn’t available for use.

The front desk staffs (Sammy and Alfred) greeted me warmly and efficiently handled the check-in process. Their friendly demeanor and genuine willingness to assist made me feel instantly welcomed. I was staying at room #3004. Throughout my stay, Helen (the housekeeper) consistently demonstrated a remarkable attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness. My room was impeccably maintained, and she ensured that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent service!!

We are in awe for the connecting family room, its a joint room but still there is privacy.Each room has its own bathroom,staff are fantastic and clean.

Location is quite far but tolerable, lots of walking.It would be nicer if the plug ins to charge phone or electronics is flexible for all kinds of charger especially for international guests that uses type c charger.But one of the staff lent us adoptor so we can charge,so we save some money to buy adootor.
