The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa Cancun

We had a one bedroom villa and it’s exactly perfect for a family. Our room is very spacious and the bathroom too! The room has the amenities perfect for a long stay. The kitchen is packed with everything we needed from pots to dishwashing liquid and sponge. The laundry in the room is perfect since we only had small carry on luggage with us. The vacuum was helpful to clean up our mess. The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning our room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The pool is PERFECT, overlooking the beautiful ocean. The pool is so big its visible when we were in the plane! The location is perfect, close to a grocery store and right next to a bus stop. It’s also right across a mall. The resort is very quiet, perfect for fun and relaxation. They also offer free activities in the resort.

The jets in our tub wasn’t working properly and the lock in our sliding door was broken. I thought our room would be an ocean view, but it wasn’t. They were also very aggressive in selling timeshare. Beware that they will offer for u to attend a sales talk in exchange for discounts at excursions. Dont do it, its cheaper to buy tickets to excursions online or at expedia.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Place was clean.

I didn’t like where our room was. I asked for ocean view. The view was trees barely ocean view.and loud exhaust system from other hotel when sitting on balcony.

I love the location of the property, the pool, restaurants and the staff

The room given to us was right by the sports bar and as early as 6am, you hear the staff pushing some trays, a lot noise early in the morning that woke me up the whole time we stayed even after telling the front desk about the noise. And they don’t clean the room everyday and had to ask for new towels on the days they didn’t clean our room.

The room was big and comfortable, and all the amenities were excellent; we had a beautiful view, and they cleaned the room every day, which was a plus after the pandemic.

We participated in a sales meeting for 90 minutes. I felt so much pressure to do that. I understand you want to sell, but I suggest you use a better strategy so guests don´t feel harassed

We stayed in a studio & it had a full size kitchen with all utensils. It also had a stackable washer & dryer & they provided laundry detergent all you have to bring/buy is downey and dryer sheets. The pool is amazing!!! It has direct easy access to the beach. The mall is across the street from resort. There is classy & beautiful steak type restaurant across the street. You don't need to rent a car, taxis and bus stops are everywhere. Concierge can help you with booking any type of trip to pretty much any type of adventure you want to book. We paid for the ChiChen Itza and Cenote with company called Xcaret and it was fun!! Definitely recommend this. HOWEVER do not let Concierge convince you to get a discount for your adventure. You get the discount if you commit yourself to attending a hour & half presentation to one of their resort selling time share type crap!! I would never do this again just pay the full price for your adventure TRUST ME its not worth the pain and suffering you will endure if u get suckered into the discount. The tour guide from Xcaret was super friendly & informative, the bus was clean & super comfy. Hope this review helps you.

The food right next to the pool is horrible. The chips were all stale, cold, and nasty. The guacamole had no flavor. Don't eat here, place is just good for drinks.

Gorgeous place ! Perfect location ! The staff especially at the gate, doors & front desk were 1st class service ! All very kind & professional! The bed & bedding & shower & jetcuzzi tub amazing ! & that ocean view from our balcony ! Amazing ! The rooms are so so gorgeous!

The only thing we didn’t like about the property was the bars and restaurants close way to early ! The food only mediocre & over over priced ! The one thing I would suggest would be to sell bottled water in the lobby, I know the water there at the resort is safe and filtered but it tastes awful ! But these things would NOT hinder us from staying here again ! This place is TOP NOTCH amazing !

Was across street from a large mall which contains restaurants and retail. Very close to Cancun nite life central. Hotel is beautiful. Clean rooms, large pool. Ocean front with cabanas. On-site restaurants. Very little to not like about this facility or staff or cleaning help.

I wish the on-site store offered more items and stayed open later. I dislike high pressure timeshare sales so we avoided the front of the hotel where these folks conduct business. I wish the mixed drinks were stronger. I wish check-in was faster.

I came with a family of 8 including small children and we had a blast! We enjoyed every second of our stay and will definitely be back. The resort is gorgeous, comfortable and easy to get around with the beach just seconds from our room. Staff was exceptional, always smiling, always trying to help make the stay better. We used the kids room for the little ones to play especially during the random rain storms and they begged to go back every morning! Could not have asked for a better hotel.

Not all inclusive. For the price we paid I expected drinks to be included but I was mistaken

Liked the variety of pools and activities. Restaurant menus need to vary . It shouldn’t be the same at the sports bar and pool restaurant.

Didn’t like the pushy sales pitch to become an owner. To tie up 90 min of your stay to get 100-300 of credit is not good. If you listen to the presentation thst really only takes 30 -45 minutes . When you say you’re not interested that should be it! Period. Especially when you paid for your stay.

The entire hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Very relaxing and luxurious with an amazing location on the beach. I love that the beach is private. And the entire place is immaculately clean! I LOVED THE AIR CONDITIONING!!!!

It took a little over an hour for us to get into our room after checking in. The desk said they didn't have my correct phone number when I wrote it down clearly. The entire staff Is very accommodating and try their hardest to please. Especially those on the restaurants. The food is HORRIBLE! We had our first dinner at the main pool restaurant, Viento, pricey and awful food. The buffet at Oceano wasn't any better but was included with the cost of the room so can't really complain. Luckily the market is fully stocked and the room has a full kitchen so we cooked. Stay here, eat elsewhere
