Akanani Apartments

The size of the rooms, the atmosphere and peace. The staff is wonderful. Expecially the gentleman and lady at reception, their hospitality was great.

The cleanliness of the room, found rotten food in the cupboards. Made me uncomfortable to even use anything, had to question if the room was cleaned before we arrived or just left like that.

The place is incredible. It was clean & everything you need is there. Fridge Washing machine Tumble dryer Iron & Iron board Kettle Toaster Stove - Oven Air conditioning. A large shower. It's big enough for 4 people. The staff are all friendly & very helpful. The area is safe & it's a stone throw away from a local mall. The bed is really massive & the room is spacious as well I am definitely coming back

The fact that I did not get to stay longer - There was literally nothing not to like about this place. Whenever I am in Pretoria, this is where I am staying - my home away from home

They asked for a picture of my credit card which made me u comfortable

I loved everything about the apartment, it had space and everything you needed. I loved the big comfortable bad with white linen. The room was very clean. Though I did not have time to watch tv, I loved that it was a big screen tv and they have netflix. This is an added bonus.

They make a copy of your credit card. I don't understand why as they may just ask you to see it, especially when payments has already gone through. This made me uncomfortable especially when we have lots of cases of scammers and fraud in SA. Try to find a different method.

The host was kind enough to give us a room even though we checked in 2 hours earlier to check-in time. The room was clean and neat,with all the cutlery and appliances one needs for food, also close to many restaurants. Cosy dining table to eat, also a couch. The TV is huge and is a smart TV so we enjoyed streaming movies during our stay. The location is very peaceful and quiet. The shower is nice and big. Oh and a magnificent view from our room, especially at night.

The closet space is very small, especially for two people. One can't enjoy the big shower as the hot water gets cold after a few minutes.

Best location close to entertainment areas

I arrived to the apartments 2hours before check-in from the airport , I asked the front desk lady to direct me where the restaurant is so that I can have lunch while waiting for my partner and check in time, she told me that they do not have a restaurant but it is listed on the page and they also uploaded pictures of the “restaurant” . I then asked if I can wait in the same office space she is working in because it has a nice sitting areas that looks like a waiting area, she said “ yes you can wait here but I am about to leave the office to check housekeeping, so you can leave your bag and go around and come back later or wait outside in the parking area until I come back to the office” imagine checking in and being told to wait outside with no chairs or sitting area.

I absolutely loved my stay at Akanani Apartments! The accommodations had everything I needed, were impeccably clean, and the gentleman at the reception was not only friendly but also quite humorous. Akanani is truly the best in town in Pretoria. Highly recommended!"

I always love coming back to Akanani. It's a beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need. It's also well situated, close to everything. A perfect place for a short stay cation.

There was an odd fish smell in the apartment that we could not get rid of. It just smelled terrible. The apartment also did not feel clean.

Everything, especially the convenience of the location.

If I had to be pedantic I would say having the Windows open there's alot of noise because of the hospital next door. But it's really not that bad.

They should give space so in case guests have a change in their programs, they could extend and not be told to check out. Thats not hospitality! Hotels and guesthouse should know that they work in hospitality and they should really think about their guests and not just how much they suck out of people's pocket. The hotels industry is not yet fully regulated throughout Africa. So each one does what they want. Its ridiculous.
