Room was big and conformable. Food served in the room as good. Restaurant area is big and spacious. Location really good with direct access downton.

Dirty towel with makeup on it. Although hotel accepts pets, they weren't allowed in the restaurant area. Exception was only allowed if we agreed to sit on the table closest to the door. Can't understand why they think owners would leave their pets alone in the room.

Breakfast was excellent. Parking was excellent, secure, large and whilst not cheap was worth the money. Location was very good, very central, although a little bit busy at certain times of the day getting around in the middle of the summer season but that was to be expected. The room and bed were comfortable and the room was spotless and cleaned very well each day. The decor of the hotel is also very nice and modern. The bar staff around the pool area and all the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Not all of the staff in the main bar and restaurant were welcoming - we put this down to being under pressure on the first night but some evenings they were decidedly frosty towards our own party and other hotel users that we observed .. The pool is quite small, deceptively smaller than it looks on the photos. The areas around the pool were most days occupied and we only had beds on our last day of the holiday. However, there are great facilities to sunbathe/relax on the other side of the pool area. The area around the lift that gives access from the main hotel to street level was quite dirty - we did see someone cleaning it once but to be fair I am not sure how much control the hotel would have over this

hotel didn’t mention the renovation works going on at the hotel opposite or that we couldn’t use the roof terrace (that’s why -2 points)

The property was very comfortable, clean and well located!

The allowed small children into the Spa Pool, which did not make for a relaxing environment.

Very comfortable bed, unobtrusive yet effective aircon. Great breakfast (if a little expensive). Excellent staff, especially in the bar. Really well appointed hotel. Bar food was excellent. Good sized room and fantastic bathroom/shower.

The bar by the rooftop pool is woefully underutilised. It could be a superb space, with great views and plenty of room but the bar is only open 3-10pm and is not well resourced. This could be a buzzing space. The spa should be free for guests, especially when paying nearly £300 a night for a room.

The room was clean. The location of the hotel was great, very central, which was crucial for our stay. The hotel itself is very interesting, due its transformation from a church (as we were said). Breakfast was alright (as in most other four star hotels). The view over the city is amazing. A pity the weather was not very nice the days of our visit, so we could not enjoy the great roof top pool and bar which seemed like a perfect place to relax.

The gym was very small and modest. The spa was not included in the stay and the hourly rate per person was exaggerated and unreasonably high, compared to other four star hotels and spa centers in general. Awful coffee from the coffee machine in the room.

this is the second time we are staying in this hotel and the experience is exceptional. 1) the breakfast is truly amazing 2) rooms are very clean and room service is very nice 3) reception staff is always friendly 4) restaurant!!! Michelin star is definitely missed. I’ve been dreaming about your cheesecake with maracuyá from September, I swear… also the wine we were recommended was excellent, I’ve already ordered a box to my place in Barcelona 5) dog friendly. this is very important for us, because our dog is a part of the family, and we appreciate very much you do care about him as well. thank you 6) location is perfect of you wanna explore the beaches and old city center bravo

The lift to the road was great as was the on-site parking included in the price. The view from the rooftop pool and bar was spectacular and we were lucky to be staying during the August week when there were fireworks every night! The rooms were spacious and it was handy to have them adjoining as a family of 5. The hotel seemed new with modern features and was much larger than we were expecting from the photos. There were loads of cafes and restaurants nearby and the old town and beach took about 10 mins to walk to.

We requested a bath in one of the bathrooms (as we were travelling with a baby) well in advance but unfortunately it wasn’t possible which made it tricky for us. The pool on the roof is only about a metre deep which we hadn’t been expecting- perfect for the children but I had hoped to do a bit of swimming. There were also no umbrellas for shade on the roof and it was incredibly hot so we couldn’t stay up there long.

What a comfortable, beautiful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, the bed was like sleeping in a cloud. Blackout curtains and soundproofing so efficient we woke up well into the day completely disoriented after oversleeping by hours 😅. I've never left a hotel feeling so well rested in my life! I would highly recommend the massages in the spa. The roof terrace pool and rooftop bar were wonderful additions with great service and comfy loungers. Fantastic service all round, especially from David on the reception team, who was an absolute delight.

I can't think of a thing I would change

Very comfortable hotel in a good location for accessing the old town and La Concha in San Sebastian. I would recommend requesting a room on the 3rd or 4th floor away from the lifts. I had booked a standard double room and on our first night we were in room 126 where you could hear everything from reception and as it was upper ground, people could look straight at our bed from outside. The reception staff were very helpful and managed to find us a room on the 4th floor (423) for our remaining two nights which was very quiet. It was still a standard double room but was larger and brighter than the room on the first floor. On our first evening it was raining so we ate in the hotel restaurant which was very good.

The bed and pillows were too hard for my liking.
