Hotel Praga

The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned every day and bed is really comfortable. Pretty nice location, close to metro (10 min) or EMT bus in front of hotel. Supermarkets Mercadona and Lidl very close to hotel. Also, there is a park and river next to hotel - for walks and relaxation. Breakfast has different pastry or fruits daily.

Breakfast food is varied but kind of same food every day - only scrambled eggs every day, only potato omelette. Very poor in fresh vegetables - would be nice to have some fresh cucumbers or bell pepper or anything else. The tomatoes have no taste, unfortunately. Also, same salami or cheese daily. If you don't like them, there is nothing to choose from except pastries or fruits or cereals. It would be a nice improvement to change menus for breakfast.

The room was clean and comfortable and also quiet resulting in a peaceful nights sleep, the staff were both friendly and very helpful.

I have stayed at the praga hotel on three occasions and when I have had breakfast, unfortunately the cooked breakfast was not hot enough and also the hot water from the machines was not hot enough to make a nice cup of tea , it’s a shame really because the hotel is really quite nice and I will certainly book it again.

Hotel is located near to the city center but not exactly in city center. Just outside hotel is bus stand to access bus (23 and other bus numbers) to reach to City center and other point of attractions i.e Puerta de Toledo, Plaza Mayor. However the accessibility form metro is bit far as its 10-15mnts walk. The property was good and rooms are really spacious with pretty luxurious washroom I would say. Staff are helpful when approached and services are fine too. Wifi was decent enough to get connected and sort out the works.

However it has multiple rooms in each floor but apart form few room towards the front side none of them has any view rather they are inwards facing and there will not be much natural light coming in.

Clean & professional property. Triple rooms were much bigger than expected and well taken care of. on site (paid) parking was very convenient and local area is vibrant and has many shops and facilities.

Staff were slightly unhelpful upon check-in, did not advise us that we needed to validate parking ticket whenever we wanted to leave/re-enter. Hotel is located a 15 minute car/metro journey from the main Madrid city centre - not an inconvenience but something to keep in mind for tourism. Takes nothing away from the good quality of the hotel.

Everything was great at Hotel Praga in Madrid. We had a nice surprise at check-in and the reception staff assigned to us a free upgrade room. The staff is very professional and gave us useful information about the main attractions (Marius from the reception staff gave us a map and offered useful details).The hotel has good connection to the city center (the station bus 23 is in front of the hotel) or you can walk about 30 minutes to the main attractions (Prado, Reina Sofia, Thyssen-Bornemisza museums).We will definitely choose Hotel Praga whenever we will come back to Madrid. The breakfast is well organized and you have variety to choose from.

Location was exactly in the area of Carabanchel where i needed to stay. The receptionist was incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms and facilities super clean. Working AC which is needed with summer temperatures in Madrid :)

What can i say: For that price in the capital of Madrid the value is REALLY good. If i have to criticize anything i would say: PLEASE, try to reduce plastic as much as possible (shower and hair gel, breakfast packaging etc). Our planet is drowning in plastic and i am missing the eco-consciousness in the hotel industry yet.

The location is convenient, not central but very close to metro and bus connections to the city center. The room was good, spacious and clean with comfortable bed and sufficient space for clothes and luggage. Front desk staff was nice and efficient, check-in and check-out went very smoothly.

The walls are very thin so it can get noisy. Sleeping longer in the late morning was not really possible, because we constantly heard people in the corridor and in the next room. There wasn't any noise from the street though.

The location was amazing, bus stop in front of the hotel. The receptionist that was checking us in was so polite and friendly, great chat. We were 3 hours early for check in and they had our room ready which was a massive plus. Room was perfectly clean and very spacious. Plenty towels provided and a/c was working fine. If I go back to Madrid, I’ll stay here again!

Everything was amazing!

Hotel was very clean and we felt very safe in hotel and around neighborhood of hotel. There was a well established walking and running path near hotel on the river, that was very tranquil. Taxis were readily available at front of hotel and main tourist spots were a 12 to 17 minute cab ride. Train station was only a 10-12 minute cab ride. We dined one time in main dinig room for an evening meal....service was friendly and attentive, food was good and value for meal paid very fair.

I wish there was more information in lobby for things to see in area. I realize most travelers do research prior to coming but we just winged it. Once we got here we just googled to see what to do. Very minor negative comment and it is more in us than hotel.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were nice. The location was not as busy as hotels in the city centre but travelling to and fro the city centre was easy with the bus stop just outside the hotel and plenty of taxis parked outside the hotel as well. There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near the hotel and the hotel restaurant served good food as well.

There was no tea making facility in the bedroom.
