Australia Park Motel

The price of the stay was very reasonable and the discount for booking online was very much appreciated. The staff was always helpful and ready to assist and checked up if anything was required. The location of major roads, local cafes and the business district was a great convenience. I will return to this Motel when returning to Albury

The only thing thing that was a bit of a bother was the water pressure while showering it wasn't very high and went hot and cold often. I understand it might be an expensive renovation but extending the outside balcony to provide some protection and cover against the weather, sun rain and cold. This would be great advantage to guests. Though not too much of a problem unless you are older but marking parking spots corresponding to room numbers would be a help.

Great spot near Murray River, there is a nice path along the river. The soap and shampoo dispensers are a great idea. Comfortable with some extra touches - fresh milk in a small bottle, extra chairs, plenty of room. In the middle of a golf course so it was quiet with lots of trees and green fairways. A good size swimming pool surrounded by trees. Great after a 43° day drive. A windscreen wiper and bucket was provided, very useful. Wine glasses provided. Parking at the door. Reception friendly and helpful. Fresh milk provided in a little bottle Supermarket a short drive away. Petrol station across the street.

Arrived after dark and just wanted to sleep after 14 hour drive. Wedding following day and back there around 11pm & just wanted to sleep, Very noisy guests above us first night shifting furniture and banging things. Plumbing requires attention with taps hard to turn on/off. Certainly met our needs. Lovely staff.

The room was a great size and the bed was HUGE.

There was a function centre immediately next door to my room, all the guests removed their shoes and piled them up in front of my door. The admin staff informed us that this function would happen and the shoes would be in our doorway (as it happens regularly). I'm not sure why they haven't installed some shoe racks for them. The first person to use the shower each day burnt their hand turning off the hot tap, it was caused by hot water that dripped from the tap during the shower. Yet somehow this didn't happen during the second shower each day.

Comfortable bed and very spacious unit bonus was fridge and freezer not just fridge. The fact that bathroom accessories were accessible was great straight from the pump although a couple were almost empty.

Furniture is a bit outdated although sufficient of needs and probably don't need fake flowers in room as they just gather dust. The pot plants and chairs left on balcony are a little dangerous and trip hazard when walking in the dark / early hours of morning. Pot plant on wall make it difficult to carry large luggage past.

Overall, the room was very good. Although somewhat dated, there has been some refurbishment to overcome the wear and tear over the years. It has a kitchenette which would be convenient for some. A small carton of milk was provided at reception. Opposite a park and near the Murray river.

I was allocated the first floor, which was OK except a had a heavy suitcase to lug up the stairs. The main problem was the very noisy fridge when running and a very loud bang when it cycled off. I turned it off, however, had to mop up the floor when it defrosted and disgorged a large amount of water.

We have stayed here a few times before. It is easy to find and has off street parking. You can walk to the shops and there is a variety of take aways close by. The rooms are a nice size including a small table and chairs. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water presurre. The lady at reception was cheerful and helpful. We will stay here again.

The security chain on the door was broken.

The property was an older style property but the rooms were very spacious and very clean. I had driven down from Sydney for a party and it suited my needs nicely. The price was very good too.

When we came back from the party it was a little difficult to find parking but we eventually did. It looked like the motel was fully booked ( hence the car park issue)

Cheap and comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Obviously being renovated slowly. Nice new flooring, curtains, table and chairs. Receptionist was very pleasant.

Obviously being renovated slowly but some attention to detail, eg, untidy painting, bad bathroom tile painting. Fridge didn’t seal properly, so food wasn’t cold, toaster barely toasted. Bedside tables, other fixtures very worn.
