Modern, clean, well appointed unit with plenty of space. Directly opposite the large park/rec ground on the Murray River - so easy to go for a walk/run or swim. Rooms face the central court-yard/parking lot but there is a nice central garden with palms to take the heat out of it. That layout also meant that there was very little road noise. The manager recommended several of the nearby restaurants - and we followed his advice and had a great Italian meal within walking distance. We were only 'in transit' (ie. a one night stay) but would certainly stay again.

Hmmm..., on the top floor there is only a narrow walkway but there are chairs there outside each unit - so a bit hard to get past (especially if there are other guests sitting in them outside their units). The same really with the ground floor units as you have cars parked directly outside. I understand the desire to 'sit outside', but the space is really just too small to do so. Perhaps it is one of those 'in retrospect' design flaws...

Our room was very clean and large. The motel has a big car park. A river with a walking trail is in front of the motel, so it’s possible to have a nice stroll in the morning.

Restaurant doesn’t work because of staff shortages. So, we went to a neighboring motel. Insulation between rooms is relatively poor. We wanted to sleep till 7.00 but at 6.00 the alarm went off in one of the neighboring rooms. This alarm kept going for an hour and I suspect that there were no people in that room. So, we were forced to wake up at 6.00 instead. This is generally not a hotel’s fault but the insulation could of been better :).

The place was tidy and had everything we needed such as AC, microwave, and towels. It was nice that the glasses in the fridge was kept cool for a drink upon arrival. We arrived at 1am and this was accommodated easily by the motel. The staff are pleasant and friendly!

It would have been nice if we had parking spots right by the door but it is first in best dressed in this joint.

Great price, location and clean space. Carpet had several stains but room was still quite clean.

Person at reception wasn’t there. Someone was smoking close to the door of reception (turned out to be the person who should have been behind the desk). Finished cigarette before coming in to help even after clearly seeing me walk in. Smelt very strongly of said cigarettes too. Don’t appreciate second hand smoke, especially while pregnant.

Much better kitchenette than you'd usually get in a motel. Bathroom looked like it had been upgraded recently. Lots of storage and space to put your suitcase. Across the road from the Murray River and beautiful walking track. Only 10min walk to the centre of town/ Coles.

Pity the on site restaurant is closed, but understandable with staffing issues. Noise of late arrivals/ early departures cars echos in the court yard. In saying that couldn't hear the traffic of the main road

I had a lovely stay. I booked this hotel as it was closest to the river. As i only had one night i wanted to be close for sunset walks. The river was beautiful and birdlife. Great hotel room w everything i needed and nice and clean.

Herbal tea options would've have been a nice additon but cant complain as was a really nice room.The reception desk guy when i arrived,could have neen friendlier but aside from that and overall nice place to stay. i would stay again.

The Paddlesteamer is in a great location, just on the edge of town. Everything is easily accessible from here, the town itself, the motorway and beautiful parks across the road. The room itself was lovely, spacious and clean with plenty of features that make a home away from home just that little bit nicer. The staff I encountered were also great, friendly and happy to help.

There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about my stay!

Perfect spot for an overnight stop over between Sydney & Melbourne

Upon entry to reception, wasn’t greeted by receptionist & was spoken to in a very stern way. Every question I had about the accomodation & dinner recommendations were met with “do your own research” before the receptionist walked away.

The room was very clean with an excellent sized shelf for our luggage so no bags had to go on the floor, saving our backs. The bed was very comfortable, exceeded what I expected in a mattress in a motel. I had a good night's sleep. Cathy, our host was warm and helpful and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner nearby.

Bathroom facilities - hot water in the shower went cold when the tap turned on in the next room. Bathroom was a bit cramped.

We got in well after midnight and the after hours check in process was easy. The staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable, clean and had everything you need.

Lack of close parking was unfortunate as I had to figure out how to get 2 sleeping kids into their second storey room and then park the car all the way down the other end of the property and walk back by myself in the dark. Didn't feel very safe at all. No security lights and no other way manage the situation. There were people wanding around in the dark at 2am too, which didn't help my nerves. But got in ok.
