Unreal little motel, perched up in the hill looking west ,. small,beautiful little fishing village on the Clarence River.. will defintaly be returning.. had seafood whiting fillets, prawns, calamari ,barmaid bugs and sand crab wich was all amazing and the staff at the local seafood shop were nice aswell answering all my fishing queries about the river and what it stocks surprisingly Mulloway keggers which I'll return to chase. From the lookout we watched the cane fields get burnt back in the late arvo. Which I've wanted to see fir a long time. And the beer at the pub was cold and crisp after all the sightseeing see ya soon maclean

Nothing had a amazing time

Recently renovated room with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bed linen lovely with clean, comfy bed, fresh pillows. Spotlessly clean bathroom and room. Dining table and chairs, microwave with cups, plates, cutlery and bowls. Pleasant view of countryside. Lovely air conditioner, quiet and efficient. Staff lovely.

Hilly to drive into and Motel sign turned off at night so it was hard to see when returning home in the dark. Could do with some lighting down the driveway to the street.

We were greeted at the motel by name in a warm and welcoming manner. The room was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Everything we needed for and overnight stay was provided in the room, a toaster was available from reception if needed. We loved the view out front over the river at sunset and the close proximity (By car) to shops, pubs and restaurants. It was quiet overnight so we were able to have a good sleep after along day driving.

Very new refurb - so clean. Comfortable room with table and chairs. Nice view. Good shower. New air conditioner. Quiet location. Lovely staff.

Parking a bit awkward but flat and outside your room. Motel is on a hill and steep driveway getting in and out of property. No lighting at night down to the street - had to use my phone torch to get down to the street after dark. I think they are working on things so this could all change in time.

The premises was very much fit for purpose, the owners have probably only not long taken over and very much trying to achieve what they were setting out to do.

The only real bits of constructive criticism would be maybe providing a dual use body wash/shampoo in the room. Everything was clean and tidy, a lot was freshly renovated but something i noticed and it was not only at this property was the cleanliness of the things such as fans and light fittings. The things that are easily missed.

Comfortable bed (new) updated room & bathroom, toaster & jug supplied, room was clean & large enough, would be happy to stay again if the need arose.

Seemed to attract other quests who smoked not always in the area supplied, there was a resident frog somewhere in the plumbing thankfully intermittent croaking, a little close to a flying fox infestation though only noticed the stink on the last morning, advertised a barbecue but only a rusty wood fire brazier.

Was an older place that had been lovingly spruced up and presented as well as the pictures. There were thoughtful details (eg pink hairdryer and bathroom nighlight) that reflected the owners responsive attitude which is evident also in all communication with them. Well priced, convenient to the highway without being noisy. Quite simply didn't deliver less than what was promised unlike too many other places. Highly recommend and most definitley would stay again.

The renno of the motel has improved it so much since we stayed there some years ago.

A safety issue is the lack of lighting at the driveway entrance of a night time. The drive way is just around a bend and is difficult to locate. It is even worse When you have someone sitting on your rear while you are slowing down and Trying to find the entrance.

Very clean room and bathroom. The bed is comfy with 4 pillows and cushions; exactly as advertised on the web. Very friendly and accommodate host. You have everything you need to stay for the day or days. Very close by the highway and the village; it's at a very quiet location. Bonus for me, a little fire pit outside the leisure area :-)

Missing the hair dryer

This was my 3rd time staying at this motel. It has been revamped and modernised with a nautical theme, which I loved. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and lots of hanging space for clothing and a suitcase rack below. Water pressure was great and it was peaceful.
