My room was just right for one, comfortable and well appointed. Bed was very good and location suited me well - easy to access light rail, easy walk to ‘Marketown’ shops. I was v happy that on the day I left, I was able to leave my travel bag safely and return for it when my lectures were over.

There seemed to be some confusion on the front desk about having dinner. I don’t recall her name but a young blond woman was not very knowledgeable and refused to accept that the website definitely said the restaurant was closed on Sat night and for breakfast on Sunday. The information was incorrect. Otherwise staff were pleasant and helpful About facilities - my room was very good except it was not made up after the first night. Given I was staying for 3 that was not good. I found the lift and the walkways really grubby.

Excellent location close to everything that Newcastle has to offer. The rooms, although small, are comfortable with very luxurious beds. There is a guest laundry on level 2 with large washers and dryers that cost $3 each per load. There is barista coffee available at reception. The hotel has a 24 hour reception.

The car park is very tight and costs $15 per night. The bathroom is well appointed but the shower floor protrudes under the screen doors which is dangerous. My wife twisted her ankle when she slipped down this area.

Were back again stayed here many times. Its close to Newcastle so you can walk. 1st time to Babylon nite club for works xmas party. The concierge was fantastic helped us book in and point out another area to park as motel carpark full , no room to park ?? Breakfast was great after a long nite out. The service agent for breakfast was great good to talk too interested in our visit. Concerned about our awful taxi ride. Overall 9 out of 10 Thanx again we'll be back as usual 🙂

Really need to assure price is competitive as friends stayed at Quest on the beach for better price. The taxi we received after pushing your automatic call was horrendous. Didnt know where we wanted to go, used my phone maps app to see where to go. Sat in Ibis carpark for minutes while metre hit $10.80 before moving off not your fault but not impressed all the same.

Everything was well. We asked for extra milk and the manager took the time to deliver the milk himself. Very quickly. Very impressive

We had collected some plastic bottles and cans and put them separately in a brown paper bag which you could tell obviously we had them apart from the general rubbish. The housekeeping staff had removed it all. all good though because we raised this issue, we were given a free drink at the bar. Cheers Ibis.

Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Room was compact but clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. Buffet breakfast was fine with staff checking food levels often. Tables and food areas cleaned often. Good access to Light Rail and Honeysuckle area with restaurants.

A few more teabags, coffee sachets and milk pods would have been appreciated. It was annoying that there was nowhere to park while checking in. It seemed strange to have all the front parking spots designated as disability parking. I felt very uncomfortable parking in those areas.

Professional uncomplicated service and check-in process. The staff are always approachable and friendly. Highly commended The 24 /7 Grab n Go menu feature. Buffet breakfast option $22. Hummingbirds cafe on site. Lots of seating included cosy lobby Good value and very accessible location. Can walk or light rail it. Very close to Newcastle Interchange light rail stop on one side and the Honeysuckle stop on the other. Trains from Sydney last stop at Newcastle Interchange. Or can catch a ride to Honeysuckle. Parking available Eco friendly: Minimising the enviro impact of disposable waste in rooms and hotel. A few eateries nearby to walk to: Pizzahut and KFC next door to Ibis A great Thai restaurant a few minutes over the road The Hungry Wombat at The Quest Dominos in nearby Steel Street plus a Mexican themed eatery too

The room looked a little tired and maybe a tiny refresh of paint or clean of the top part of tv cabinet Also a number provided to call reception direct would be great as there was a phone in room. Newcastle West is an ok location in the day time, but at night it feels isolated. This may change as the city is undergoing an urban renewal.

The staff were professional, warm and amazing to my baby and I. They assisted us in moving to an alternate room and it was nice. They also sent my pillow back to me when I accidentally forgot to take it when I left.

The first room I was put in was not good. The fridge was dirty & broken. The remote for the tv was missing and the room was dark dirty and uninviting. There were also stains on the sheet. Parking also cost extra.

This is the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The wifi was effective. A small/minimalist room but had everything I needed, practically - desk, bed lamps, HOT lovely shower. Fabulously close to the trams. I noticed parking was available, $25 per night I think. Looked like there was plenty to go round. I would come back.

The first evening was noisy at times (some event was on - Oktoberfest? Go figure). The next night I used earplugs and slept like a baby.

-Customer Service was exceptional. The staff at reception were fantastic, both at check in and check out. The bar staff during happy hour was also fantastic- came over to our table for a chat and was very hospitable. Would come back just for the great hospitality. -The continental breakfast was very good. -Great value for happy hour.

Cleanliness and size of the bathroom.
