The receptionists were warm and friendly. The apartment was excellent: clean; spacious; with ensuite, fully-fitted kitchen and free wifi. Toiletries were provided which is great; we didn't have to call and ask for it. Bonus was the free netflix and amazon prime.

We didn't know we have to pay for a parking slot, I thought it will be provided free for guests. The description in booking.com should have indicated this. We paid $30 for it for an overnight parking - for future guests' information.

In an industry where almost every establishments are somewhat equal, Quest West Newcastle is still my preferred place to stay mainly for amenities in the apartments and the most lovely staff, which makes this place all the more special - from the night manager to the reception, and the cleaners, everyone is friendly and most helpful.

The hotel had some character. The rooms were well appointed, and the bed comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful - couldn't fault their service.

I thought the value for money was not quite there, we did stay on a busy long weekend. However the rate I thought was a little excessive for the room.

Very last minute late booking that was accommodated for wonderfully. The young girl on the desk was very sweet and helpful and made for a smooth booking. Express check out in the morning was great too. Huge rooms, so spacious, comfy bedding, all the kitchen requirements. Couldn’t really fault it.

New hotel, the gym was a large size.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, it has everything we wanted however it was small. The fire alarm went off at 1230am so we had to fully evacuate until Fire and Rescue arrived and checked the premises. It would have been nice to have been compensated or acknowledged for the inconvenience with a coffee voucher or something similar.

Spacious apartment with all the facilties for our short break and could easily have stayed longer. Close and easy access to the light rail, train station and bus terminal.

No pool at this destination. Close proximity to the local night club. Although they consciously encourage patrons to be quiet when moving away from the venue.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating during our trip. The room was comfortable enough and included all the necessities including a fully functioning kitchen. I would definitely recommend paying for on site parking ($20/night in the unfenced lot) as street parking is a nightmare.

The bed is two beds put together and were very easily pushed apart so we had to readjust them a couple times. I am also not a fan of showers over bath tubs as they are not very safe.

Quick checkin and contactless checkout. Given a room without the large structural beams felt alot more pleasant than a previous booking.

Street facing, traffic noise, non-sound proof windows. Bright street lights streaming through windows as curtains do not cover the window completely allowing light on.

Very spacious, kitchen cutlery and utensils were new and looked after. Location is good, close to Beaumont St where there are lots of food options.

The pub across the road on Wood St blaring music with heavy beats all evening; not only loud it has an open space / beer garden and the music filtrates the whole street. Very poor experience for us.

Everything was very clean and organised, parking was easy with clearly labelled for each location, very friendly staff.

I think a $200 holding fee for the usual possible damage bond at arrival was a bit excessive, usually a card on file or a small holding amount is acceptable, $200 just leaves a bad taste about the overall experience.
