loved the set up, able to have corner view and was able to watch colour of sunrise. (The actual sun was not in view due to building blocking the sun but that was also an advantage as you didn't have sun shining in.

Difficult to close curtain at night to block any view into the room when lights on. Had to reach behind voile curtain to pull manually the block out curtain behind. Managed. Also sorry I didn't keep copy of price for Hotel I felt charges were a little higher than expected. Additional charges were applied to Mastercard I originally had thought applied only to Amex and as card details had to be provided on booking found this should not have been necessary. No cash taken at Bistro. Parking we paid for by cash but still waiting on cancellation of $50 held on Mastercard. Lucky checked on booking at bistro for 2nd night as phone pre-booking was not recorded.

room was ridiculously expensive- $700+just for the room. for 1 night for 2 adults and 2 teens. what gives thats more expensive than a 5 starhotel in Paris! when we got to the room i think I know why - we were given a full wheelchair access room/bathroom. why do you overcharge for those rooms???? the price is way overpriced for value as far as im concerned (for a family of 4 we just needed a simple room with 2 queen beds) and tbh it felt like daylight robbery.

Room was a bit dusty - vacuuming around edges of carpet particularly when beds are split to singles would have been an improvement More options for simple food on room service menu e.g. burger, club sandwich or equivalent In saying that the food and service was very good but I personally would have liked to have seen a few other selections

Centrally located with first class facilities including a gym and steam room. The staff were excellent, welcoming and smiling. One staff member Francesca who was serving in the buffet impressed me the most for her bubbly personality and care of the customer She made me want to come back as staff like that bring the return visitor

Very well-situated hotel which has the beach just a few steps away and walking distance to the tram station. Room is big and the beds are comfortable.

The room decor and design is very basic, we have stayed in other hotels in Newcastle in the past and the room design and decor are much better than Novotel and their rates are much cheaper.

The restaurant staff struggled to remember what was ordered. Even brought incorrect drinks to our table twice. Even tried to suggest my wife would just drink the wine Even though it wasn't what she ordered. But the food was absolutely delicious, a saving grace..

Location was good (only a minute to the beach and a few minutes to restaurants, shopping area, etc), large family room with sea view, comfortable bed, friendly staff and convenient under cover car park.

We were a little bit confused with the QR code mini bar system as the fridge was empty, not even a bottle of water (I felt guilty for ordering a bottle of water as a room service in the middle of night - I realized there was a water station at the lobby when we were to check out.

Overall I had lovely stay for 4 nights with my daughter but I booked in October from booking.com and it was rather expensive like $415 a night so 1665 in total for 4 nights the room was great bed comfy and staff excellent but room service is not very much on offer for price ! No mini bar in room and unable due to covid to use gym and spa area as I would of really liked . But if was bit cheaper would definitely stay again for sure just overall price considering amenities and lack of in room dining for this price wasn’t great I could stayed at shangri la in Sydney had harbour view with great room service selection and use of all amenities for this price .

The manager on duty 20/7 was so accommodating, I’m a type 1 diabetic. I had a really bad hypo and the manager assisted us with a room for the ambulance officer to check my vitals and provided me with a sandwich to bring my blood sugar up. Can not thanks this gentleman enough.

great location, a short walk to Newcastle Beach and Estobar Cafe. The bed was large and very comfortable as were the pillows. The shower was good, no bath. Nice headland glimpses from the window. good, secure underground carparking within the building with lifts straight to the car park. The windows are openable to let in fresh air and when closed seem to block out any street noise.

the windows were quite dirty which affected the view (but this could have been due to the COVID labour shortages currently beign experienced by most businesses).
