It is a lovely spacious and relaxing place with magnificent gardens. Colin was a very inviting host and the fridge was stocked with an abundance of breakfast supplies. Location can't be better - it was a one block walk to the centre of town.

Unfortunately I was in late and left early so I only got to enjoy it for a short time. If you like glossy new digs then this isn't for you, but if you love historic buildings that are clean, spacious, very comfortable and serene then you won't be disappointed

the location was superb, v convenient. The host were very accommodating and helpful. Colin is a gem, i had a v heavy suitcase and he helped me take it to my room. V pleasant, beautiful old world accommodation that I love. Being dog friendly, i will definitely be back with my family including my four legged member. Highly recommended !

Best pet friendly apartment ever had and so close to town walking distance to everything. The convent is old and grand and turns 100 yrs old in January. A testament to the workmanship of an era gone by as she stands tall overlooking the town..the restoration and feel takes you back too...loved it and will definitely be back.. and the sunset was beautiful..

Such a great location! 3 minute walk to town. Loved the history and character of the accomodation. Super beautiful grounds, very expansive and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast provided and very kind and helpful owners on hand to assist if needed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Friendly and helpful host. Beautiful old property which has been nicely decorated and very comfortable. In fact the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make your stay memorable! Well located, quiet but central and close to many eating options. We’ll stay again.

What a gem we found in Parkes ! So spacious and the best night sleep we have had at a property . Attention to detail was well noted snd we have no hesitation in 100 %recommending this amazing property to other travellers .

There was nothing to not like

The location is excellent and the food provided for the self-cooked breakfast was just right the rooms were worm with lovely gas fireplace. Everything verry homely and comfortable

that we dident stay two nights

A stay in a building of considerable historical significance and importance to the Parkes community, and very close to the centre of town. I expected a bedroom and bathroom, but we got that plus two sitting rooms and a kitchen with a separate dining area - a whole apartment in fact, with its own front door. All very well kept, nicely heated and very comfortable. The owner of the Old Convent and manager of its accommodation, Colin, made us very welcome.

Breakfast: In the fridge was bacon, eggs, a few slices of bread, butter, milk and juice, and outside was tea bags, coffee, cornflakes and weetbix. For the price of the stay one could have expected rather more, and not have to prepare everything oneself.

Everything. Outstanding and hugely comfortable furnishings. Hosts that couldn't possibly do anymore to ensure the comfort of your stay. Very quiet location. Very generous breakfast supplied.

Can't find a single thing to whinge about.
