For a compact room with ensuite all needs were met. Kingsize single beds suprisingly very comfortable. Room had two windows to open with lovely street view of passerbys on way to ferry. Suprisingly quiet room and lovely and dark to sleep in in the morning.

Lack of airconditioning. The pedestal fan just doesn't do it and is annoying.

Amazing location, great price, close to the ferry terminal and Hayes St beach. Very clean and friendly staff. also liked the book with all public transport options. Loads of parking around too. There is no aircon which we never use anyway… we were there on a hot day (35degrees) and appreciated being able to open windows! We had blinds down during the day and were fine with just a fan. Will definitely stay again.

it is on a busy road so imagine it will be noisy with commuter traffic on a weekday. we were ok using the fan as white noise.

Great location, lovely view. My worry was lack of car spaces. I was lucky, and got the last one when I arrived, so that was very handy for taking my bags out, and straight inside. The room was a lovely reminder of the past,, with its high ceiling and space. Everything was very clean.

I had a rehearsal with my music group that night, (the reason I came down to Sydney for the night), but when I returned (about 10:45pm), a large vehicle had taken the car space I'd been in. I knew the space was limited, and I had been notified on the website, so it's not something they could fix. But it did take me 25 minutes of driving around to find a roadside space, about two blocks away.

my room was spacious , clean and comfortable, with a super comfortable bed. My late check in was easy. the bathroom ensuite was very clean and functional. The location is excellent as Neutral Bay is a lovely area and the ferry is ver close by. There are good cafe and restaurants nearby in Hayes St. I really enjoyed my stay. Hood value.

nothing. The only comment would be that a fresh coat of paint inside through the property would bring it all more up to date.

The room was good, bathroom newly renovated, a little small, clean but adequate. The room was on the road side, but we didn’t find it noisy. We liked that the room was on the ground floor and near the entrance The location was perfect for us with the ferry a short walk down the road, where there was a very good cafe/restaurant

The carpets and seating in the entrance was very tired looking, a refurbishment would make all the difference There were loose floor boards in our bedroom and the carpet was tired looking too.

The privacy of having our own ensuite along with the excellent location, providing close access to local restaurants, cafe's, pubs, shops & Taronga Park Zoo. We definitely made use of public transport options, trains, ferries & buses during our stay making it so more enjoyable, taking the hassle out of driving Perfect place to stay

The lodge is well located and clean. Staff in friendly and bed was comfortable

Use of the shared kitchen should be restricted to normal eating/cooking times, although not sure if any staff or system is available at night to enforce this. We were in ground floor and could hear people cooking meat and washing dishes at 1am.

All the benefits of being in a hotel with a private room, whilst also having great communal facilities such as the kitchen and laundry, at hostel level price.

Very little staff presence, except for the cleaner. This was fine because mostly everything went smoothly for us, but several other guests asked us for help and you felt a little alone.

The bed is a bit firmer, this is my favourite.. The room was great, comfy and cosy. Had everything you needed. Great heater!

Pillows were comfy but they were very very lumpy. There was also a stain on my sheets and crumbs, like they hadn’t been changed from the last guest. I arrived late at night and left early Morning - wasn’t able to request sheet change. The window is the older type where it uses the long metal piece to open, this was an issue because we wanted some airflow at night and couldn’t. It was wide open (lowest bar setting) or closed and stuffy.

The location is fantastic, close to the ferry and bus routes, and I like the option of a private bathroom or shared facilities. The lodge is full of character and charm.

The lodge is a beautiful old building but is in desperate need of an update of fresh paint, new carpeting and furniture. Also, a good vacuuming along the edges of the room would cut down on the dust! It's built up pretty deep along there. I stayed in the same room within a month of each visit and the same string/dust bunnies were still there. But I still love the lodge and will stay again ☺️
