The North Shore Hotel

The location couldn't be better - close to my family who live near Manly, very easy to take public transport into the city or to locations on the north shore. The room had absolutely everything I wanted and was very comfortable. The bed was also great, and there was plenty of space for me to put my things, airconditioning and WiFi which worked well. I hadn't realised the location was as convenient as it turned out to be when I made the booking, so that was a nice surprise! I also very much appreciated the staff allowing me to store my bag there when I arrived early, as well as leaving it there for the final day when they were happy to look after it for me until it was time to head to the airport.

I had no problems at all.

Location was great for purpose of my trip which was to attend cricket at North Sydney Oval and was an easy commute into city via bus and/or train to do other activities. Really enjoyed the area, very relaxing such a contrast to the city. Had great meals at pub just a few doors away and breakfast at cafes a short walk away. Bed was comfortable and the air con although quite noisy worked well to cool down room in very high temp weather.

Only thing I didn’t like was the pillows, they were very firm.

The staff was amazing (especially Manolo), super nice and helpful with suggestions and stuff. And the hotel had this really sweet cottage vibe, and for the price it was really good and well located for north Sydney. Not to mention it had a balcony, kitchen, microwave, fridge, coffee, teas, all the amenities and goodies you could ask for

Some of the people that went with me had some problems, related with the cleanliness of the room (one of them had allergies and it seemed like the room had been closed for a while so it had a bit of dust, and it triggered her allergies, but they were very prompt to clean it and fix it). Another issue was the size of the extra bed, it was a bit small. The bathroom door was kind of iffy, it seemed like it would fall apart anytime, and you could see through the gaps. Lastly, there wasn't really anyone in the reception past 9pm, what is kind of scary, security wise, if you are not "home".

It was a very comfortable and spacious suite that was super clean and well maintained. It was a little dated but still had all the necessities like strong WiFi and smart tv and had a stovetop and a microwave which would be good for longer stays.

There wasn't a little info book or anything to tell you about check out procedures (there was a little key safe but no sign on it anything) or give takeaway/restaurant reccomendations etc which would have been useful as it was about a 1.3km walk to the nearest supermarket and dining precinct

Good value for North Sydney convenience. Will be especially good when the new metro station opens at Victoria Cross. Off street parking available if you get in early. Fridge and microwave handy. Gardens lovely. No street noise (we were at the back of the building).

A queen sized bed rather than a king in this room would give you more space to move around. Very tight. You can hear people coming and going but they weren’t too noisy.

the location is good. There are lots of buses on this road which can take you to either North Sydney Train station (and the Metro when its built) or to Milson's point ferry for ferries to the city and Barangaroo. A great city fringe location on the north shore.

It's an old building and there are lots of steps, from the street to the front yard, from the front yard to the lobby, and for most of the rooms. There isn't alot the place can do about a lot of the stairs, but it is something people with mobility needs need to know.

Fabulous location North Sydney, especially with my family 9mins walk up the road. Very quiet and clean. I have had 2 stays already this year and have been very satisfied with both. Definitely recommend this little gem and have no hesitation booking again. Very close to public transport virtually across the road to the CBD and to North Sydney. Two great cafes around the corner, SOTTO and EIGHTYATE, also a another little hotel The North Sydney Hotel a couple of doors down with a very nice restaurant.

Location, The Price and the cleanliness of the room. The bed was also very comfortable

Was told I could park in the rear lane after 5:30pm for free. So I did this without checking the signs. (My bad there). On Fridays it is still one hour parking until 11:00pm. Haven't received a ticket yet but am expecting one as the North Sydney Brown bombers are one of the most savage in the city.

The North Shore Hotel is in a perfect location for accessing everything Sydney has to offer. There is a bus stop across the road that regularly has buses that take you to the North Sydney train station. The hotel itself is beautiful with gorgeous gardens. It's very clean and presentation is very nice. It's mostly very quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Perfect for a couple of days in Sydney.

Great location and friendly staff. Room very clean and great value for money. We stayed at the family room and it was the best place to stay as a family . Would highly recommend to families . Good supply of tea/coffee/milk and staff are respectful and easy to ask for assistance. Lovely gardens and chill out area.

I do not have anything negative to say about this place as I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend to anyone who choose to live in accommodation that is small and with friendly staff.
