Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom were very clean on arrival. Easy check in process. Food downstairs in the bistro is also good!

At first it's hard to find or know how or where to go to check in. But went around to the restaurant, and first guy we saw, we asked, and was super helpful! Room was a little cold though and not much to help that. The bathroom is detached from the room also (when booking, we thought it said included in the room). And no lamps so only the main ceiling light (not detrimental)

Fantastic location, great value for money if you have realistic expectations. Pub food was great, and $15 lunches a HUGE bonus!

My room had part of the shutters broken, at the very bottom, so hard to maintain privacy and keep the sun out of a morning. Also only one battery in the remote so it didn’t work - I didn’t try to get it fixed but since the cleaners has obviously made up my room they probably should have noted that. Despite the info sheet saying a bar fridge was included, there wasn’t one in the room. Shower curtain rod was flimsy until it finally got fixed the day before I left. Not something the Hotel can control, but if you have a low tolerance for dealing with other people’s untidyness/dirtyness, you may struggle with the shared bathroom.

Great budget accommodation with comfy beds and pillows. Share bathroom facilities with plenty of towels and toiletries left in our room. This is “Pub” accommodation so don’t expect to be staying at a Palace (pardon the pun) and there is background noise from people enjoying themselves downstairs. We expected this and it didn’t bother us at all. Family of 3 with an 11 year old.

Need mattress protectors on the lovely new mattresses!

The room was large, very clean, and had tea & coffee making facilities (unusual in a pub/hotel). Staff were friendly and helpful Pub down stairs was trendy with lots of character.

Shared bathroom facilities could have been better. Obviously, staying in a pub/hotel on a Friday night means that there is some noise from the bustling bar downstairs - great if you want to join in, not so useful if you have an early start & need to sleep. However this was not unreasonable or go on too late.

staffs were very polite, very clean, beds very comfortable, carefree accommodation no disturb by the staff/manager easygoing love it, will give it at less 5 stars or more. There was an older man mumbling about no one clear his beer bottles left in the kitchen, clearly he drunk so much bought from the bottle shop and drinks in his room and left all his empty bottles in the kitchen and expecting like Hilton hotel someone will automatically clear all his empty bottles in the kitchen.

The property is a historical building, I would says approximately at least 100 years of age and has done lots of work / reinstate / reinstall to its original beautification, I am really delighted and lucky to have stayed such a accommodation like this and are wonder a lot people still would not appreciate it.

Clean room, friendly staff. We were here for the Def Leppard and Motley Crüe concert so the short distance to the stadium and affordability of staying here was really good.

Room didn’t have aircon so was a little warm over night, but the fan worked so wasn’t too bad.

Great room and cleanliness for budget accommodation. Bistro food is excellent and very competitive. Pub has a good range of beers & wines

Welcome upon arrival by one of the bar staff was a bit brutal for several reasons. At the end of that ordeal, I got given the room keys, the bar person turned around and walked off without saying anything. I think they just assumed I knew where the rooms were (which aren't sign-posted by the way!)

Lovely location close to the river. The area had a quiet, warm family feel and I could easily park the car overnight for free! Supermarket across the road, couldn't be happier.

For an older person like me the stairs were a bit of a challenge. Perhaps the chairs in the room might need attention.

I loved the location and the staff were lovely. Easy to get to and secure.

I think a mirror in the rooms would be a great idea so then you didn't have to use the bathroom for extended periods, especially as it's shared.
