Comfortable bed, nice decor, plenty of new and clean shared bathrooms. Great location for my event at Qudos Bank Arena, definitely not walking distance to Sydney Olympic Park but the well serviced bus stop (even on a Sunday) is just down the road from this accommodation. Ideally located for the train too! I had fun exploring the surrounding suburbs on foot, there are some really nice cafés and restaurants around.

Situated on the very busy Parramatta Road so expect traffic noise (loud road surface and honking). I was wearing earplugs and still woke up to steady cars passing at 3 & 4 AM despite my room facing onto Knight St so windows are not at all soundproof. I personally dislike the really bright hall lights shining under the door late at night, they seem to be on a sensor but I heard people walking around late into the night, a low night lighting would be such an improvement! The pub doors downstairs were unlocked right on 10am when I checked out on a Monday morning...which could be rather inconvenient for people wishing to checkout earlier.

The staff were remarkably friendly and helpful. The room & shared facilities were all clean and smelled great. They have the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on, and the interior of the entire hotel is lovely, modern, and well maintained. I couldn't be happier and would absolutely recommend it if you need somewhere to stay near Sydney Olympic Park. It's budget friendly, comfortable, and the public transport is extremely convenient even late at night. You can tell that everyone at the hotel and the pub below it have respect for the property and care about ensuring it is a great place to be. (Thank you to everyone at the hotel)

Some parts of the room like the windows and aircon were quite dusty, if you have asthma like myself, or dust allergies be careful. It's not an overwhelming amount, but, if you are highly sensitive to dust perhaps raise the matter with the hotel. The hotel is still well worth the money despite this one issue!

had an absolutely great time, we were here just for one night but it was really nice. the room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. the shared bathroom was also very nice, clean, and modern. there was a lovely sun room and a nice common lounge too. the staff were so friendly and helpful and even invited us to join trivia the night we stayed. which was super fun!! overall a really nice experience and would 100% book to stay here again.

only complaint is that the location of the courtesy parking wasn't very clear so we had to park in a residential street a block or so over.

the beds were so comfy! and there was little to no noise when trying to go to sleep. The food downstairs at the pub was delicious too! Also, it does look a little rough around the edges from the outside but as soon as you go to your room it is lovely!

I didn't love the shared bathrooms, I much prefer our own and it definitely had the space in the large rooms. Also a mini fridge with some water and other things would be amazing also, going downstairs in pj's is less fun.

Being someone who has an interest in horse racing, the decor within the hotel I found marvellous and very unique. There are some poignant images beautifully framed on the walls inside. The staff member I dealt with when I arrived, Cathy was wonderful and very helpful to answering questions about the area and allowing an earlier check in and also gave me a discount on food and beverage whilst staying at the venue. I've not seen another venue like it before in terms of the decor related to the horse racing in Sydney. It was relatively cheap and cheerful. I found the bed very comfortable and the shared amenities easily accessible and clean.

The lack of parking at the hotel (which is in a dodgy laneway) and/or trying to find availability on the street(s) around the hotel. The signed car parking permit areas are a nightmare with you having to move your vehicle every 2 hours. The hotel's actual 'carpark' is not ideal, it is not very big nor easily accessed. If you were using the public transport system, there is a train station located within 600 metres of the venue. The road it is located on is very busy most of the day and evenings. So in the rooms above the hotel where the accommodation is, the road traffic is noisy and even with patrons who have left the bar when they close, I'm not sure if it is ever quiet. I found the constant road noise kept me awake.

Can say now that I stayed a type of hotel that people use to stay in years gone by. These types of hotels used to to be common in yesterday years in inner Sydney and Melbourne. Very modern in the bar, dining room area etc Although the showers, toilets are separate from the bedroom, they were very clean. Good water pressure, wifi in all parts of the hotel Great experience staying here. Homebush railway station is 150 metres away. Room (10) up stairs very quiet. Would I stay there again, answer:; I would. Just ensure you take the room key when you go to the bathroom if a solo traveller. Meals were excellent.

The hotel has been done up beautifully. The rooms AND the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Check in was easy at the bar and the accommodation area felt safe and welcoming. There's a shared space which is also clean and comfortable. The family room was large enough for us all. The location is good for Sydney Olympic Park and many other areas. There's lovely coffee shops and eating options 5 mins walk away but the food at the hotel itself was delicious. Great meals.

A little street noise but I slept really well in the comfortable bed.

The rooms were modern and the beds were fantastic! The staff were helpful and lovely Great food options nearby and happy hour downstairs with good cocktails The bathrooms were shared but were modern

The room needed curtains to block out the light of the room at night-time as the sensor light shines through brightly everytime someone walks past The carpet needed a good clean The showers also needed a good clean Just a note for anyone choosing this room - it can take a long time to get to Homebush due to traffic so keep that in mind! The train down the road is your best option!

I am confused how the bed and bedding were more comfy than those in my own home. Absolutely blown away by how wonderfully I slept! The aircon was cold, just how I like it! Having the pub and bistro downstairs was not an issue, I was concerned sound might be a problem as I'm as sensitive sleeper but had no issues falling asleep.

My room had lots of condensation signs on arrival, visible drip lines down the wall, the cornicing definitely in need of repair to address the moisture issues. There were no paper towels or hand towels in the toilets and the hand dryer is way too disruptive to use at night. Would have liked to have my own kettle and mug in my room for a cuppa..minor criticism for an overall great stay.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Having somewhere to eat and drink was great and the food was delicious. Bus stop a minute away and train station 6 minute walk away made it easy to get to where I needed. Bed was quite comfortable. The shared bathroom and toilet facilities were very clean.

A bit of a distance to Circular Quay and City but easy to get to via train. Bedroom very small, couldn't open window 🪟
