The decor in the room is very bright and cosy and the vibe of the hotel is very inviting. The pillows are nice and plump, which is a nice change. The provided amenities in the bathroom are good too. The downstairs restaurant has some good Tacos and they had live music and dancing on Friday night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel offers luggage storage which is super handy The location itself is around 10 minutes from Redfern Station or Central Station, so it's quite easy for getting to and from the airport. Also within walking distance of Kensington Street for food, and Haymarket or Broadway for shopping

The location is next to the train line, which you know before booking, but the room doesn't do quite enough to dampen the noise. The room was on the first floor and music/noise can be heard from the restaurant on busy nights These weren't issues for me however, just points to make.

Location at Redfern Station was perfect, easy walk to Spice Alley for dinner & Belvoir Theatre. The margaritas at the Mexican on site were lovely! Room felt really spacious- I’m not sure what other reviewers are complaining about. Great value for money!

Look - you can’t get past the fact that you are above a major train line! My room was on the 1st floor, directly over the trains & it was loud - despite the double glazed window. Even ear plugs can’t block the noise out.

The staff were extremely accomodating, friendly, and went above and beyond during my stay. The rooms exceded my expectations by far & this hotel is incredible value for money, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite on the ground floor (Suited for 4 guests). It had a full sized fridge, great storage space and a lovely lounge area with an outdoor entertainment area & 2 oversized bathrooms & bedrooms. It is located near a train station but the glass was soundproof so we could barely hear the noise. I highly reccomend staying here, especially in this suite.

I found Hotel Hacienda very clean and comfortable. The room was quite small but perfect for the solo traveller. The bed was very comfy. It is located very close to the train station, and I am a light sleeper, but I never found myself struggling with the noise.

I would have appreciated a kettle in the room. Sometimes it felt like the doors were very thin, because I could often hear when people were coming and going in the hallway, but not when they were in their rooms.

Amazing value for money. Really comfy beds, really cute room too. Hotel staff are incredibly friendly and gave me early check in free of charge. I was just as concerned about railway noise just as much as anyone would be, but there are double glazed windows. I could still hear it definitely, but not enough to bother me or keep me awake. At night the trains aren’t as frequent anyway.

Bathroom was a little dirty - shower curtain had a bunch of stains on the bottom and stain in the bottom of the toilet bowl. The walls are also thin, my friend had a problem with this in a seperate room with people going at it (no hate to the hotel, they handled the concern very well). The rooms are also not as decorated as the advertised photos. I found the hotel a little bit difficult to find, but once I did everything went smoothly. Will definitely look at staying here again in the future.

The staff were incredibly friendly and assisted me with my surprise proposal to my now-fiancee. They helped receive, hide, and then sneakily place in our room whole working around my updates with regard to check-in times etc. For the price point the room was clean and orderly, and everything worked well. Secure parking on site available with prebooking! Lobby and taco bar looks very clean and chic. Great aesthetic.

Some may find being right next to the railway discomforting, especially if your room is situated right above the railside as ours was. That being said, we slept soundly but it definitely is very 'rumbly'. Bathroom was a bit dingy but acceptable for short stays. Please note that no toothpaste is provided.

Clean, tidy, functional and very well looked after. Helpful and attentive staff. For the price, absolutely amazing value. I would totally recommend this place. I expected a cheap, maybe a bit tired hotel when I booked, instead it's cheap and really nice! Far exceeded my expectations. It's a great little place to stay in Sydney, I'd definitely stay there again.

the 10 minute slight uphill walk from the nearest public transport at central station - that's not their fault though! It's right by the main railway line, so there is some train noise, again not their fault and they have installed extra glazing to try and soundproof the rooms.
