Big room with everything we needed. Quiet. Secure -- separate key card entry from pub downstairs. Hotel is perfectly placed for transport -- light rail, trains and buses. It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the airport by train. The bistro down stairs in the pub serves good food, so is very handy.

The huge lights which illuminate the building which come on at 7,15pm daily and stay on all night seeped into our room, The curtains kept out the light but light shone in above and to the sides of the curtains making the room very bright all through the night. We asked for 2 key cards but it seemed too much trouble to make a second card, A single key card was inconvenient,

Location is amazing, train and light rail are just next to hotel! We just really went to the city just to eat whole day and walk around. It's a last minute plan..

For 211$ it's so worth it!!!🎉 (sunday-Monday) so pub its not busy at night. The room is massive compared to 500$ standard room around the area. Just put 9 star, just being a stress mum right now😅😂lols As our room "family room" is next to the spotlight of their logo hotel!🥲😅 so our room is bright. And as well vehicles sounds. So if you're a light sleeper it's not suitable. I was telling to my husband if go to city again just for quick one, we will come back here, and hopefully they have same room different side of the building..

Very good location with access to a range of public transport but also within easy walking distance of things to see. Double glazed windows so the room was quiet. Plent of place to eat and also buy groceries, coffees etc. quick acccess 24hr with proximity key

There was no water at all for 15 minutes on one morning at 7.15am which meant you could not shower, the toilet would not refill etc. Also the internet is abysmally slow which is not acceptable for a room in this day and age costing around $200 per night. I think Australia Post snail mail is quicker!

The beds were excellent, the room was clean. I heard the WiFi works fine, but I didn't use it. The pub food is awesome, and there's a daily happy hour, a great way to end the day after touring. The staff was always friendly and smiling. If you want convenience in Sydney, stay here. It's right across from Central Station and the Trams, providing quick access to everywhere.

The room is excellent, but the downside is our street-facing view, with a 24-hour pub across the road. It can get rowdy early in the morning. However, this only happened twice during my five-day stay, so it wasn't a major issue.

The room was spacious and had the basics. It was pretty clean and the staff were friendly and competent. Although it a pub and is only a few metres from the light rail, double gazing means its not too noisy. Its good value for money in central Sydney. The location near Central Station makes it very convenient to get anywhere.

Others have mentioned the lack of an iron - not a big deal. The main issue is light from external floodlights coming through the curtains - it was OK for me , but those who need it to be pitch black to sleep, you wont get much here.

The room was quite, spacious and very comfortable

Second year I have stayed there and the room tariff has jumped dramatically. The TV does not have free to air or radio stations - it only has racing and other sport related channels and subscriber channels - on querying this I was told there was a problem with the aerial ?? I was told the same thing last year - Why hasn't it been fixed? - all I wanted to do is watch ABC news or listen to the radio. ALSO, they do not have bag storage for my last day in Sydney after checking out.

Perfect location to get anywhere in Sydney quickly and easily. Convenience stores, bars, cafes all close by, plus bar and bistro downstairs Separate entrance to accommodation. Huge room, nice and bright. Felt safe and secure.

A "Do not disturb" sign would have been good. We were woken 8.30am on our first day there by well-meaning room cleaner, when a long lie in was needed. We had a table with a good reading lamp but no chair in the room. Low level noise from the rumble of passing light rail. Last year we had a room facing Chalmer St. and it was wonderfully quiet in there.

Great location, very convenient. Some great restaurants not too far away and really easy walk to attractions like Chinatown, Paddy's Markets and Darling Harbour. Staff were super helpful, we were early and they kindly allowed us to securely store our bags until check-in time. The lift was very handy with a child in a stroller, and also for getting bags up to the room. Very quiet and comfortable room, you wouldn't know there was a pub downstairs, we heard zero noise from downstairs. The beds were very clean and comfortable, we all had a great night sleep. The price was also very reasonable for the location, great for travellers being right near Central Station with very easy access. Highly recommended.

Didn't expect much of this hotel but after checking in through the rather musty smelling bar opened the door to our room & WOW!!! We've stayed in an up-market room at The Windsor in Melbourne & this room was equal to that. Clean, beautiful heritage furnishings, very comfortable bed & excellent pillow selection plus a very neat bathroom with a good selection of toiletries. If it wasn't for the checking in via the musty bar we would have rated this as a 10. The girl who checked us in though was friendly & helpful.

The pub is located in the middle of everything. To get anywhere you only need walk less than 100 meters to the Tram or 50 meters to the train. Very convenient and easy to get around. Beds very comfortable, and room was a reasonable size with hanging space for clothes. Food in the pub was excellent, and the staff were always very helpful. Highly recommend.

The only down side to the stay, our room was next to the tram line which stop around 12ish I think, was noisy occasionally but not too bad. Other drawbacks.... The TV only had limited channels, the room was also quite light during the night, due to a floodlight outside our window. Some clever manipulation of the spare towels sorted that one out. Don't let this deter you though, the stay was excellent.
