the location couldn’t be better: right on the beach, shops and bus station very close! everyone is pretty friendly and easy going, staff is nice and helpful kitchen’s open h24 balconies in some rooms nice common area

the kitchen is very small, one sink for the whole hostel is not enough (big fridge though!) and people tend to leave their dirty dishes (maybe putting a sign saying that they could get fined for it would work? seems to work in other hostels) no curtains on the windows in some rooms made it hard to sleep in the morning since the sun is up 5:45am

Beautiful views of the beach from the balcony and perfect location if you’re looking to chill or surf by the sea for a bit, or go for walks along the coast. Stayed in a 12 bed which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

Difficult to mingle with others as they had already formed a group. I would say it’s quite a ‘clicky’ hostel which isn’t the hostels fault at all but just thought I’d mention.

Staff were great. Very good atmosphere, and everyone is very welcoming. stayed for an extra week just as there was such a family feel. Beach Trips, and Nights out together. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in Australia

People were leaving the kitchen in a bad state, which wasn’t fair to the housekeepers, and everyone else. So implementing tighter rules on that would be beneficial.

Facilities were clean and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It’s was great stay overall and the accommodation is opposite the beach and situated in a great location. Bus stop is just on the opposite side of the street. Great place if you enjoy walking up early to watch sunrise. The trail start for Coogee to Bondi walk is only 5 min from the accommodation.

Water pressure can clean your thoughts. Beds are softer than the usual hostel wooden plank. Lots of balconies everywhere. The common area is so nice and there’s loads of fridge space. Staff are super nice. Location is 10/10

Toilets could be kept cleaner but nothing to worry about

The receptionist are so lovely, you can literally have a conversation with them about anything! They work so hard, and deserve the praise! everyone in this hostel is so nice and it’s such a sociable hostel. it feels like a family here, i never went to leave! everyone is so respectful of each other. I know that I will be coming back every time I’m at Coogee or even Sydney because I refuse to go to a different hostel.

there’s nothing not to like about the hostel.

the common area of this hostel is the best of any hostel I’ve been in on my 6 week trip! there’s always someone to talk to or something to do. the staff are really helpful and the location is perfect!

the kitchen can get quite messy because of the size but it didn’t bother me too much!

starting with the position it was great, basically on the beach and in a very well connected zone, together with a lot of activities and locals nearby The staff was friendly and attentive, they’ve helped me out in different occasions and gave me a lot of info and tips

Great place to meet great people and it’s right next to the beach. best hostel I’ve stayed in Australia yet. the reception is also amazing. I extended my stay twice while being there.

Great location, just in front of Coogee beach. Friendly staff, balconies in the rooms and beds have curtains that you can draw for some privacy
