We felt very welcome when we arrived at Royal Hotel Tenterfield, check in was easy and friendly. Sharon gave us fresh milk and homemade biscuits, what a nice touch. Large clean cups and clean glasses all are cleaned in the dishwasher. (dirty kitchen ware is a pet hate of mine in accommodation) Our room was clean and comfortable and very quiet as we were not on the main road. Motel Tenterfield is a beautifully and lovingly restored property. Fabulous and generous meals are available at the bar area or the Restuarant.

Location was great, straight across the road from the Tenterfield saddler! Room was quite comfortable and very good value for money. We ended up eating at the royal hotel (front of the complex/connected) at their munro’s bar and kitchen, we had a few beers, and shared a couple of entrees as we weren’t too hungry, food was lovely, and the women working the bar was super friendly! We loved our one night visit to Tenterfield, I enjoyed a brisk, cold walk around town early to get the day started, beautiful town to walk around and take in the country charm.

The only criticism would be the aircon was noisy as it turn on and off throughout the night, I’m a light sleeper, so this woke me several times. But wasn’t terrible! Just noisy as it ramped up.

The proximity. Close to everything. The room was very comfortable and clean and welcoming. It was nice to also have a selection of hot chocolate and coffee mixes to drink and not just tea and coffee. Also the added touch of home-made Anzac biscuits on arrival was a welcoming touch

The air-conditioning was very loud and continually interrupted our sleep. We needed it on as it was very cold. Also the light from the carports came through making the room quite light at night so maybe some pelmets to minimise this would help. The bed was a little soft.

This Motel has recently been refurbished and was a wonderful surprise. The bathroom is modern with a rain shower. All furnishings were new and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very well presented and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing that we could ask for is another bedside table, however that was on order and the room that we had was only finished last month. The fan in the bathroom was a little noisy- not sure if that could be fixed as everything was new.

Well presented and recently updated bathrooms made my stay luxurious, comfortable and enjoyable. Love the home made Anzac biscuit given on check-in. Really felt that every effort was being made to make my stay perfect. The undercover car parking great advantage in winter as it can save having to de-ice your windscreen.

I had trouble initially with the heating unit (more the remote), reverse cycle air conditioner, but worked it out eventually. It worked well although a little on the noisy side. The TV stations kept dropping out, with no signal. I didn't investigate as this wasn't an issue for me. Probably not something the Motel can control, in a rural town.

Royal Motel was in a great location, the staff were literally incredible and the room was modern, clean and spacious. We were running super late due to traffic (pulled in around 9pm) and the staff memeber stayed back to wait for us to show us into our room and provided us with advise on where to eat given we were getting in so late.

There is absoultely nothing i could fault about this location. We had a super short stay however we stay again in the future.

Location was excellent, the owner was so lovely and helpful and the room was spotless.

The only thing I didn't like was that the bed was against the wall and the bed in the next room was also against the same wall, the first night the man next door snored so loud, we had to sleep at the other end of the bed to try to get some peace but it didn't really help, if the bed was on the opposite wall, I doubt we would have heard it. I don't think beds in next door rooms should be up against the same walls. The second night, noone was in there and it was excellent.

The rooms have all been renovated since my last stay. The Royal Hotel has now reopened after a wonderful renovation and the restaurant was excellent and good value

Not Much. Maybe a breakfast being available, however went to the Corner Cafe which is in an old pub and the menu was extensive, the food & coffee great, and 2 open fires were warming the dining areas, which was great in Winter.

Helpful reception staff who stayed open and a waited for us to arrive. We received a really friendly welcome and we were treated to home-made ANZAC biscuits and fresh milk. A double power plug outside our room, meant we could charge our EV overnight. Superb stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling through.

We had a succulent lunch in a beautifully restored Hotel which is part of the motel accommodation. They have a lunch menu and in the evening there is a good choice of bar meals and more formal meals in the dining room all with very gracious hospitality. The accommodation has gorgeous high quality white linen, a fridge freezer and a modern bathroom. I highly recommend this as the best experience in Tenterfield.
