Mel on the front desk was very helpful. The beds were super comfy. There were shops within walking distance (corner store, Maccas, Subway, pub/bottle shop). There was a well stocked vending machine near reception. There was a park and playing fields directly across the street. Could order Uber Eats. Could utilise shared kitchen facilities which was very clean. There were good tea/coffee facilities in room. Fresh bottles of water and glasses. Yummy cookies too. A mini fridge also. Wi-Fi was great. Television reception was fab. Shower pressure was very good. Could open windows for fresh air or use air-con unit. Parking spot available in secure car park under motel. Coming back to a clean room after a big day out at Ekka (rubbish was removed and beds were made up). That was really lovely. :) ** Be mindful the bathroom of our family room was very narrow if you are a big person.

Hearing neighbours through walls one of the nights. (I had bought my earplugs along in case!) A bit of an old motel smell on arrival. And probably a little attention to detail required within room (some litter under beds, skirting in bathroom dusty - particularly behind bathroom door). Some small mould/mildew spots around window frames and in shower.

One of the cleanest experiences in stays that I have had! The kitchenette was great. And the view of the pool was nice. Overall we had a lovely room and experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Everything was easy and stress free. I struggle with Lifts so finding somewhere to stay in Brisbane was a struggle until I found City Star Lodge. We would definitely stay again.

We had trouble with the air-conditioning unit. Nothing major. I just feel the cold and I struggled to stay warm even under the extra blanket provided. So could have used a little extra help from the air-conditioning.

Close to CBD, easy access to secure underground carpark and fast internet. Nice bed and desk for working.

Several stains everywhere. The office chair in the room was filthy, the red blanket on the bed was old and dirty too. The aircon unit in the room was pretty old and the dehumidifier was actually creating more humidity in the room. Room 4 was basically street facing and can get noisy. Bathroom door is not soundproof and lots of noise comes from there.

The lady at the reception was amazingly kind and friendly. The staff is very friendful and professionnal. They helped me. My stay in Australia didn't start well, but then I arrived here, they made me happy. The room was very comfortable, even if there was the road, this wasn't a problem to sleep. There were bottles of water and some biscuits in the room, that is very nice gesture. If you go to Brisbane and you want a good rate between price and comfort, this is the place to choose.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We feel they went over and above to accommodate us and our large vehicle, without a grumble but with smiles all round, during a time when they had no vacancies. They even allowed a non-resident to park in their garage as it was an AFL night at the 'Gabba. Great service. If we were to stay in Brisbane again we would return to City Star Lodge.

We're still trying to find something....maybe putting spare pillows in the wardrobe, found in the morning...not a biggy really.

I was welcomed with open arms.. very friendly staff. I was treated extra special.. loved the coffee and biscuits. They changed me to a bottom floor room as I had alot of bags and needed to leave very early. Managers went with me to a proper pub restaurant and had a blast. They also sent me in the right direction to explore a little before dinner. At 1st I thought oh my as it doesn't look fancy but it was super clean, safe and so welcoming, I fell in love. I would definitely go back. Very very super clean in my room.. great night before catching the train and made dear friends.

We were welcomed warmly when arriving with a friendly face and the feeling that they were interested in making sure we had a great stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and exactly what was needed. There was plenty of parking underground, with the added security of security gate with keycode. It is in a prime location for anyone wanting to explore the amazing areas of Brisbane. We had some personal issues happen and I can not thank them enough for their kind compassion, consideration and support to me, my children and my parents. It will never be forgotten 💗

There was not anything I didn't like. It met my expectations.

Staff were really very good. Fareeah in reception was so helpful when we arrived in Brisbane. Fortunately we were able to get into our room early after an overnight flight which was a real blessing. Room was big and spacious too and the bed was very comfortable.

The location, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation was exactly what we needed

The only criticism was no bedside lights and the lack of power points near the bed. My husband and I both have CPAP machines and access to electricity is vital. Fortunately, we always carry an extension cord with us so we were able to set them up from a power point in the bathroom - not ideal having leads across the floor. Also not having a bedside light is a negative for someone who likes to read before sleeping. Otherwise we loved the accommodation.

The bed was amazing. It was so comfy I have made inquiries to buy the same mattress as ours needs replacing. My partner loved it too. We also liked the very secure parking for our car.

There was a bit of confusion about late checking in. An e-mail sent to us from the booking company stated the office was open until 9pm. We didn’t ring the office to advise them we would be arriving late because of the information in the e-mail. Just before 5pm the office called us to let us know how to get into the building and advised they close at 5 pm.
