Location incredible, pool facilities were amazing and perfect for hot days and cooler evenings. I had issues with my air con and they were able to move me to another room without any fuss. Staff that I interacted with were very helpful and kind. The bathroom in my room was recently redone and looked great.

Unfortunately when I had to change rooms I was moved from a room with a bath (what I had requested in my booking) to one without. I also didn't have any staff check in that everything was OK after I moved. It was my birthday during the trip too and was a little sad I wasn't offered complimentary drink or something to celebrate! There were no hooks or places in the room/bathroom to hang wet swimmers to dry, and not many towel racks in bathroom.

We selected Royal on the Park as we were going to a concert at the River Stage. We opted for the "cheap" option but on arrival, we were so impressed. The place was really nicely (old school but still nice) decorated, clean, easy, friendly and above all, comfortable. It surpassed expectations and honestly, I'll struggle to go somewhere else next time. It was so good.

I had some room service and it was average. The staff member forgot cutlery and by the time they got back, it was kind of cold. But not too bad.

The room we stayed in had a lovely view over the park and had all the amenities you could wish for including a very comfortable king double, tea making facilities and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom which is a rarity in most hotels. We had breakfast and dinner for all our stay and could not fault any of the meals we had. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

On the rare occasion there appeared to be issues with the waiting staff in the restaurant especially at breakfast where they would clear the table before patrons had finished their meal and on one occasion remove our supplements which we had to retrieve from the kitchen. This was a single incident that we encountered which would not put us off staying and recommending this hotel.

Friendly staff, clean room, great location with a reasonable parking fee.

We love to go to Royal on the park around the Christmas season. Everything was good except the below two things. - Short breakfast time: No one told us that we need to book the table. Luckily, the restaurant manager found a spot for us but it was only 45 minutes which was too short and we couldn't fully enjoy the breakfast (which we already paid for the service). - Poor free Wi-Fi service: we could login and use our mobile phones but not the laptop. I was unable to connect my tablet pc and my laptop for the free internet which was very inconvenient. In addition, the coffee machine didn't work well and the taste was terrible.

The location was amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was easy and well-priced; however, I personally still struggle to accept that one needs to pay for parking at a hotel that you have paid to stay at. Prices aren't cheap and, like in the past, I think parking should be included. The room was very comfortable and more than spacious enough, even with 3 adults sharing. It was clean for the most part, however my mum found a knife (normal eating knife) by her bed on the floor. So thank you, your hotel is more old-world charm that new and modern, but it is pretty clean, with great service and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Paying for parking - which I know is quite normal and pricing was reasonable, but still didn't like it!

Traditional hotel in a great location. Clean, comfortable bed, pillow too fat initially but was able to have a feather pillow each for the 2nd night which was lovely, nice linens for the bed. Room well cared for but the bathroom was a bit tired looking, however was very clean. Loved that the hotel was across the road from the Botanic Garden, near great eating places and it felt safe when walking around in the surrounding CBD. Very nice, clean pool with sun loungers, and umbrellas to provide shade from the fierce sun. Would return when next in Brisbane.

Inconsiderate, noisy guests coming and going in the hallway. In addition, unfortunately the doors to all rooms make a loud clunk when leaving and there is no way to reduce this sound. These are quite common problems with many hotels IMHO.

Very convenient location, and was walking distance to all that i needed for my entire stay. I had a concert at river stage and having royal on the park’s convenient location, we were able to walk to this event. Also, the staff were very nice and offered to carry our luggage up to our rooms, along with this, the friendly welcomes were always pleasant to be greeted with. The room was clean and regularly cleaned every day, which was very lovely to come back to after a long day out. The room facilities were excellent and were what we expected for a 4 night stay. The spa and pool were very clean and comfortable and made our stay one to remember.

The wifi and tv was a bit tricky to understand so we did not end up using those features.

WE WERE NOT WARNED THAT THE ROOM FEATURED A SHOWER OVER THE BATH. VERY DIFFICULT FOR OLDER PEOPLE. MY PARTNER SUFFERED A FALL GETTING OUT OF THE BATH FOLLOWING HER SHOWER RESULTING IN A VERY BADLY BRUISED SHIN. THE MATTER WAS REPORTED TO RECEPTION ON CHECKOUT BUT WE NEVER RECEIVED AL LEAST A CURSORY CALL FROM MANAGEMENT TO CHECK ON HER WELFARE. LUCKILY THE INJURY RESPONDE WELL TO TREATMENT AND WE TOOK NO FURTHER ACTION. APPARENTLY YOU CAN REQUEST A ROOM WITHOUT A SHOWER/BATH WHEN MAKING A BOOKING.

Wonderful location, good value, nice bulk toiletries, lovely staff, separate magnifying vanity mirror on extendable arm!, easy off road parking to check in, parking on site, amazing buffet breakfast (the best!), nice seating areas in the foyer.

No undercover parking gate (or undercover access to carpark at rear of property). This meant during torrential rain, I was forced to wind down the car window to use my ticket to open the gate - the inside of the car and myself got soaking wet upon leaving the property for a function - not a great note to leave on after such a great stay. This could be easily and cheaply alleviated by simply placing a standalone large market umbrella at the gate - or more sturdily with a small roof covering.

Great reception staff - welcoming & friendly - restaurant staff at breakfast efficient if a bit distant. Comfy beds. Good buffet breakfast selection. Spotlessly clean. Easy parking (at cost). Excellent location across the road from the botanic gardens. Serviceable pool/spa & good fitness room.

Getting quite tired - in a dated not an opulent way. Our room's bathroom was in desperate need of updating - rusty door hinges, poor shower, plastic loo seat, shallow bath etc. Pool could do with some TLC - missing tiles etc. Wifi chargeable. We had a park view room on the 3rd floor, but you couldn't see the park through the trees and even in the absence of trees the external windows would have been too dirty to see much. No complimentary water in rooms or a station to fill own water bottle. Having stayed in a few hotels in Brisbane, Royal on the Park really needs to up its game.
