Excellent location Apartment well appointed

After arriving found pool not available which was one of the reasons we booked here, asked if there was some alternative arrangement with a nearby facility - management didn’t bother to reply Unable to stream or connect TV to our subscribers, staff couldn’t fix the problem again matter was referred to management who again didn’t bother to reply

The position of MacArthur Chambers is wonderful! Close to Central Station, Woolworths, Starbucks and Queen St Mall! All within walking distance with really only 1 slightly "up-hill" pedestrian walkway (which was on our departure anyway, en route to Central Station...but to compensate for the slight incline.. Starbucks was in the middle of it! Winning! Haha!) Also, each individual room (We stayed in the Penthouse apartment ~ Room 902) was individually temperature controlled via an iPad located on the wall. The lounge also had a lovely, comfortable leisurely chaise lounge complete with a lovely little "Nana Lap Blanket" neatly folded at the end for when one got a little chilly whilst watching TV/reading/relaxing/napping! Which I personally thought was a lovely touch of comfort! The washer & dryer in the laundry were both superb! Modern, clean and more importantly... whisper QUIET!! Too many times, in too many other places I have stayed at...the laundry equipment has been old, outdated, with long winded washing & drying cycles and sooooooo, sooooo clunky & loud! (and they seem to mostly always have someone's random sock or piece of underwear left behind in them! 😧) But NOT at MacArthur Chambers! Defs no random sock or random piece of underwear to be seen at all in either the washer or dryer Winning! Haha! Full size refrigerator. Comfortable beds complete with comfortable bedding and luxuriously comfortable pillows! (Only 1 pillow per person on each side of the bed though...I personally prefer to sleep with 2 pillows, but as stated, that's MY PERSONAL preference.) Generally speaking, 1 is all that is needed at the end of the day anyways!

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was absolutely beautiful - the whole building is beautiful and the view from my room was stunning. When I come to Brisbane again - I will definitely be staying with you again.

Overall it was wonderful - the only thing that I noticed was that the air-conditioning was a little hot and the room did not cool down very well unless I opened a window and let the cooler air in. The cleanliness of the room was great however there was some repairs and maintenance that had been done that we noticed was extremely dodgy workmanship. It would be a shame to end up ruining such a beautiful apartment through dodgy handyman work moving forward - so I think you need to watch that.

Nice, clean apartment, well presented. The whole complex including the hallways was always clean. Although the apartment complex was at the bottom of Queen Street Mall, once the patio door was closed, we couldn't hear any noise. Sadly it rained almost the whole time we were there so we didn't get to do much in the city.

The pool and the sauna were unavailable, yet we still had to pay the full amount for our stay. On the second night there was no hot water so we had to have cold showers. We even tried the shower in the gym, but that had no hot water either. The staff acted as though we were invisible. When entering the small reception area, they did not even acknowledge our presence, and always looked down.

Hugeeeee room! Absolutely massive. I counted 13 different seats! I was absolutely flabbergasted to find so much space in such a central location. The building itself has a lot of character, and there are so many places to eat and shop nearby. The staff were friendly and responsive, allowing me to check out later, and arriving promptly to assist me with a room key that wasn't working properly. I was very impressed by that.

The room was very dated and worn around the edges. I think renovation work is being done, but the room looked tired. The jets in the hot tub didn't work, but I didn't expect to be getting a hot tub so I really couldn't complain! I'd have liked a proper duvet (even a light one) and bedding which wasn't from Kmart. It cheapened the loom somewhat. The swimming pool was closed :(

The location of the apartment was fantastic. The apartment was close to the main Queen Street shopping area. The apartment was spacious and well air-conditioned. The apartment contained all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay.

When entering the apartment for the first time the cooking/grilling odour from the previous guests was strong. It took the duration of my stay to remove the smell by keeping the door open to freshen the apartment. The mattress within the apartment is well-worn and needs to be changed.

After reading the reviews I was really worried about staying at this accommodation. I had nothing to worry about. The entrance was easily identifiable and check in (out of hours) was a simple process and car parking was easy to find. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment was huge! Yes, it’s older accomodation but it was clean and comfortable. We never had any issues with hot water either. The best thing about this accomodation was the location - right in the city centre and close to everything.

Internet was slow

Prime location, walking distances to everything. Shops, food, entertainment, transport right on the door step. It felt like a home, away from home, and the room size was great, bigger then what I thought it would be. The staff were fantastic, we arrived late at night and everything ran smoothly with after hour check-in.

The room could of done with a little bit of a refurbished but still nice for what we had. The main bedroom also only had slatted sliding door. Abit more privacy would of been good as travelling with young adults.

Location was fantastic, everything is within walking distance. Shopping centre right next door with Woolies, food court and BWS. Apartment was spacious and clean.

A little hiccup at check in because no one was actually there at the time (Sunday, 2pm). We had paid via booking.com but they said they hadn’t received payment. A representative had to walk down from another hotel nearby to sort it out. A few people were also waiting and having trouble with getting their keys. Once we got in, our stay was fine.

The location is excellent. Very convenient access to all major services and institutions. Easy walking distance to all facilities.

The property is obviously quite old and a few minor details in the upkeep of the property have been overlooked. There were a couple of cleaning issues, the last guests soap and shampoo were left in the soap tray of the shower and a little more attention could have been paid to the cleaning of the toilet. It was not clean behind the set under the cistern, just needed a wipe over and the mirror in the bathroom was quite damaged on the bottom, cracked and a piece missing. Unfortunately on the night I stayed there was some very loud roadworks happening outside my room. Not your fault, just bad luck.
