I like boutique hotels and this one is great. However, what is not made clear on the Booking.com website or the hotel site are that (a) the car parking is a good walk away to the rear of the hotel, ($35 self park) with very limited parking at the front of the hotel - in fact only one space for loading unloading and (b) the car park has relatively low clearance (c) whilst advertised as "dog friendly" the fees are not disclosed at time of booking and amount to $100 regardless of the type of pet. Note that there are no parks in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and it was raining heavily during our stay making toilet trips for the pooch difficult. Pets are understandably not allowed in the restaurant or small bar area.

I loved the uniqueness of the hotel and the smaller more intimate experience. I'm not keen on the big mainstream hotel vibe. The Inchcolm was boutique and personalised. The team greeted you by name, there was so much interesting decor to look at and take in. And the food was delicious, like restaurant quality, not hotel quality! I didn't need to leave. The perfect place to have some R&R.

Karla the receptionist was super friendly checking us in. Room service was amazing. The gentleman that brang our food even explained some history about our room being an old Drs office, which was super cool. Its great theor staff have an appreciation for the history of the building. We wanted to start the year off on a good foot and that we did! The food was amazing! We tried steak tartare for the first time and we were not disapointed. The matress was soooo soft! Like sleeping in a cloud. All the staff we ecountered were so friendly and accomodating, no matter the question they were happy to help. A huge plus for us personally was the ability to bring our dog. The VIP pooch package is a brilliant offer. It meant that we didnt have to cart all his things with us for check in, which made the trip so much easier.

From the very first second my mind drifted back to an old-world charm I had not felt for a while. The bed was "The Best". The ground floor was a wonderful old wall experience, and the staff were delightful. Beautiful city views and excellent cuisine, cozy little areas the fill your imaginations and lovely surprises.

That I couldn't stay longer. Some have to work. I expended my stay 2 extra days. I was very welcome of course to stay. And because i couldn't stay for a week and enjoy the atmosphere until it became, "Bliss" i shall return asap.

Assistance from Receptionist staff Decor is outstanding and historically interesting Excellent martinis LOVED THE ELEVATOR, but the entrance to it is very narrow and difficult to enter/exit with a walker Art work and novelties from the past were delightful

Inaccessability for anyone (myself) who uses a wheeled walker. No rails in bathroom at toilet or shower. In addition of the history-appropriate entry (nice), It was impossible without much trouble to get inside the building with mobility walker and/or luggage! The beautiful door was impossible to navigate with a bag(s), using walker or even my cane! Having a lovely rail was good, however to use it left only one hand to carry or hold cane/ walker and the door is too heavy for anyone who is not young, healthy and strong. VERY disappointing.

The bath tub. Definitely what I was in need of. The hotel staff were pleasant but there were definitely a couple of young ladies that stood out from the rest of the staff with polite professional demeanor. It was the lady i spoke to when I made the booking and the lady who checked us out the next day. Thanks it was great!

The floor tiles in the bathroom are far too slippery when wet. and the record player didn't sync or hook up to the tv.....

We were greeted well upon arrival. Receptionist was very friendly and upgraded our room to a City Loft Suite. The room was magnificent and totally unexpected. The floor to ceiling height windows gave an impressive view of the CBD. There was a mezzanine floor for the bedroom with a very comfortable kind size bed and beautiful ensuite. There is a mini bar/fridge and sink that is hidden in a closet that blends in well with the room. Heating/cooling was good. Room is very quiet. The free martini hour and laundry facilities were bonuses. We were only staying overnight, but this room deserves to be enjoyed on a longer stay.

Apple TV was difficult to navigate ( especially if you are unfamiliar ) We chose to include breakfast in our room rate. We both had the cooked big breakfast which turned out to be a little bit oily. We were then surprised to found out, on check out, that coffee was not included in the breakfast. We've never stayed in a hotel where breakfast included excludes coffee! Filter coffee was not even available, which is disappointing given the pricy room rate.

Beautiful historical building, quality interiors, amazing cocktail bar, easy parking, lolly bar, breakfast delicious, excellent staff,

Location on busy main thoroughfare, no bath in room, room didn't reflect marketing photos, layout of room, couldn't adjust air conditioning, not value for money.

Little things count - lighting both bright and lamp, power points to use phone chargers or laptop without unplugging an appliance, bathroom necessities in bathroom, robes and slippers, full length mirrors.. The staff - offer service instead of you seeking it. Welcome you even in busy periods, room service is prompt. Atmosphere - books, day/night curtains, bar, the menu - small but inviting, did I say the bar....the wall art, that elevator,...

If you're a couple on a date night, book a large Heritage Suite, order room service & soak up the ambience. We were upgraded to this room via Booking.com and we booked breakfast included. We loved our stay - every staff member was friendly, welcoming & professional.
