Punthill Spring Hill

On the edge of the CBD so it is relatively quiet while still close to key sights. The reception staff were excellent and communication was very efficient before our arrival. The room was spacious, clean and well set up. The lack of a place to hang clothes mentioned in other reviews was compensated for by the provision of two large clothing racks which served a dual purpose - washing and storage. There is a free Spring Hill bus which runs a circuit through the area for those who can’t face the climb (moderate) up the hill from the central city. The wonderful Roma St Parklands are only few minutes walk away.

Property was well maintained and good. Location was apt a 10 min casual walk to the nearest train station - 'Brisbane Central' which can connect you to any part of the city seamlessly. Cafes and restaurants are available nearby to cater to your hunger pangs. A 24/7 convenience store selling basic needful items (including F&B) is just next door. Hotel reception is good and kind. All amenities intact and usable including kitchen except the wi-fi. The Queen's street mall is just a 15 mins walk where its all bustling. Overall a nice selection for stay - Quiet and serene.

Wi-fi was a major disappointment and was very very slow. I raised a complaint but unfortunately it was not addressed. Anyways I was there on a holiday so there was no work hence it did not matter. Other then this aspect I guess holding a buffet breakfast would have made the experience memorable.

The city view

The elevator is so slow ,the cleaners need to be more thorough in cleaning the rooms ,the dust on the lights, the carpet had toe nail that had been cut ( not good)sofa lounge under the cushions have rubbish on them the under cover on the bed has brown stains on it..in saying all this the room is great spacious..the cleaners need to do there jobs correctly & there phones taken off them as work commences when I was coming & going they always had s phone in there ear or texting

The property was in an excellent location. An easy walk to the city and reasonable Uber rides to most locations. The service provided by the young man on reception was exceptional. He went above and beyond to help me when I locked my key in my room… twice! My thanks to him for his kindness and good humour.

The cleaning staff had a habit of blocking the lift off while working a floor, which caused significant inconvenience by slowing access to the only lift.

The room was spacious, and nicely furnished. I really liked the random art work in the bathroom. Nice teabags in the kitchen and big tv and split system. It all had a nice vibe. Certainly staying here next time I am in Brisbane.

Tooooooo mannnnyyyyyyy texts and emails received once I booked! Yes they were automated BUT five texts and six emails all within two hours of booking. It’s too much. Chill with the automation!

Location - It's located close to the city and valley. Perfect for a quick stay in Brissie. Parking - It's rare to find hotels in this area with a dedicated covered parking! $30 per night is not bad. Room - The room was super spacious and clean. It has all the basic amenities. Very good storage spaces too. Staff - The staff at the check-in were friendly and helpful.

The building is a bit dated but I think it's managed well.

I loved its location. The staff were friendly and approachable. there was a pool that my daughter loved

we had one noisy night with some party goers getting home late - obviously not the hotels fault and some of the cutlery and crockery were lacking and having to pay for parking - I feel when you stay a few nights the parking should be free or definitely less - but again it’s standard anywhere you stay

Good size room with nice design. Balcony and view. Nespresso coffee was appreciated in the morning. Quiet street at night. Staff were good - we arrived one day late due to international flight cancellations and the staff saw this from our booking and called us directly to confirm, and giving us a refund for the night.

Small things - the shower was missing any sort of shelf to put soap/shampoo on. And the chairs on the balcony were grimy from city air (hadn’t been cleaned for a while).

Chloe, Clarisa and Mark at reception were all fantastic, very helpful and friendly, also great we're my limited interactions with the cleaning staff. Bed was epic and room had everything for my 3 week business and work from apt trip. Thanks team, Andrew.

The communal areas we average, in particular the fully equipped gym, if looking for a fully equipo gym this is not the one...

I loved the location, which is a 6-minute walk to the city center. The room was bigger than I thought with a king-size bed. The balcony was great. The staffs were all very accommodating, helpful, and very friendly.

Housekeeping was slightly inefficient, but the reception staff gave clean towels, which was very helpful. However, housekeeping does an excellent job of cleaning the room.
