BreakFree Royal Harbour

Loved my stay here, did not want to leave. The view was great overlooking the esplanade we could see the ferris wheel and the lagoon. We had an ocean view apartment on the 4th floor above the pool. The location is perfect, above the night markets. You can get the lift to level 1 which is the Abbott St reception area where your car is parked and walking distance to woolworths, or ground level to access the Esplanade, with all its meal or snack options with a great vibe, the lagoon only 30 metres or so up the path. The night markets are underneath the apartments and accessible from Abbott to the Esplanade. Hopefully will be able to come back soon.

The room was quiet, beautiful view of the ocean and esplanade below. The room had been refurbished too. There was an entrance onto the esplanade which made it easy to walk around, visit restaurants, and sight see.

They need to have a look at the fire alarm sensor. Its off-putting to see so many signs around the room about closing the door to the bathroom because the steam would set the alarm off, and then the fire brigade would come, which is annoying. No mop in room to clean up spills, dishwashing liquid or tea towels. I'm sure they would have provided these if I had asked but we had our own.

Easy access to Eateries and Bars all within walking distance of the property with a fantastic view of the harbour. Felt safe walking the Boulevard at night. The swimming pool was a welcome touch at the end of a hot day to refresh.

All was fantastic until the last day when someone thought it was a good idea to refurbish a unit above our unit. The noise of hammer drills (Jack-Hammer) was deafening. We left the unit on numerous occasions only to find the work was still progressing. Went down to the pool and the noise could be heard from there as well. A heads up would have been appropriate in the circumstances.

great location. close to the esplanade, water and main shops. easy access from front and back of the property. we had a great view of the water and the Ferris wheel. watching the bats come past at sunset from our balcony was amazing. air conditioning in the main room and bedroom was greatly appreciated! The pool is great, you can still get the sun until around 4pm, and you can see the beach from here also. The staff were lovely, especially Valter. my husband and I had a few chats with him, he’s a very knowledgeable man. Thank you

Location was superb & the direct access straight into the night markets food court was sensational. Direct access to the Esplanade & restaurants beyond was also fabulous from inside the building. The sea view apartments are well worth the lovely scenes that greet you through the day.

Not having free wifi is quite archaic. So many privately owned apartments here & overseas provide this now very common utility.

The location was very convenient. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The view is amazing. The staff were very helpful. Having a separate bedroom was great.

The bedroom did not have a window so there was no fresh air. It did have an air-conditioner. A ceiling fan would have been beneficial. Light comes in from the front door to the bedroom, so we had to put towels down The apartment including the furniture is dated. Some mould on the shutters, but I imagine it is hard to keep on top of it in the tropics. The spa bath is in a funny position in the middle of the apartment.

Location, close proximity to resturants, markets, etc., sea view from our apartment, near esplanade. Staff were fantastic and were very helpful to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The apartment needs an upgrades such as provision of more cooking utensils, an oven, a better stove. The floor needs a thourough clean up because at present it is dirty. Air conditioner in the lounge area is noisy.

The room was self contained, clean and very comfortable. The location was central to the night market which we frequented often and a short walk to restaurants and the marina's when we went on our tours. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. The amenities on the premises were well equipped and clean. Would recommend highly if you want a great holiday.

proximity to everything in Cairns / even though right in the middle of entertainment area it felt private and hassle free . the pool facilities are perfect so great it wasn’t cold which made for a really relaxing soak / swim . enjoyed using the bbq area and even opted to relax on lawn area next to pool to read thanks

television options could of been better / maybe Netflix or something other than regular channels to watch on the odd Occassion choosing to sit in for the evening

The room is spacious and the shower place is good. It is located right above the night market and close to the supermarket, the beach, and the port. Great location.

On Saturday, an event with loud music is right below the balcony for the whole day. As the day went on, hearing the loud, not-so-typically foreign music for hours started to drive me crazy, and I had to escape for a break.
