Modern, clean, good location (in the heartbeat)

Pools are average (small and in the shade) but at least you have the beach style pool in the park a stones throw. Who ever invented the Key on the App bollocks should be named and shamed. Nothing like looking for an App that’s new on your phone everytime you want to enter the lift lobby, select a floor in the lift, enter your room….. Not to mention the one thing that doest work in lifts …… phones including phones with key apps 🙄 Oh well, at least the old key making staff are doing something new xx now - if they did find a new job that is. Soon we won’t need those Reception people either…… 🙄🙄

It is wonderfully located, right near the night markets and less than a 10 min walk from the Reef Fleet terminal . It is also close to a Woolies supermarket and to Crave, a fabulous healthy restaurant and juice bar about 3 mins walk away. The two pools were also a big hit with my 11 year old granddaughter.

The basic rooms are very small and one of the room service staff was quite unhelpful. It also lacked any room lights apart from the bed that were bright enough for reading; not good when one wants to sleep and another to read for a while. Because it was so small there was only one comfy chair and minimal room at the tiny table. We often felt cramped.

Excellent stay! All facilities met my expectations, two pools, free water and refills. The location is ideal, there is an another exit of the hotel which leads you to the main street of all the foods/bars. Easy location to the night market and the views of the marina. Easy location to all the tourist trips and tours. 10mins to the shopping centre. I stayed in the room which was huge and made for the special access individuals. Balcony faced the city which had great views of the sunset. Staff was super accommodating, especially when they helped me with my broken suitcase and Housekeeping staff helped me remove my old suitcase. I will stay here again!

This is the second Crystalbrook hotel we’ve stayed at in Australia and am impressed by this hotel chain. There are three Crystalbrooks in Cairns but this one is the nicest one and closest to the lagoon and right in the centre of town. You can walk everywhere from here. The room is really really nice as is the bathroom. Complimentary slippers, Nespresso and tea. Our room faced the town side but no outside noise whatsoever. Staff is great. As it sometimes rains in Cairns they offer complimentary umbrellas at reception. The bar and pool on the 2nd floor are great with a superb view over the ferris wheel and the lagoon.

We stayed here twice in one week. The first time 3 nights in the A-tower on the 7th floor. The second time 1 night in the A-tower on the 5th floor. Only downside was that the airco in the room on the 7th floor is one temperature (i.e. cold) and the lowest fan setting is still really full on. So we switched it off at night. In our other room on the 5th floor we had no issues with the airco whatsoever.

it was a beautiful hotel, in a fantastic location across the road from the lagoon and the pool area was really special.

it was sad that the food and drinks on site were of a disappointing standard. I ordered a cocktail which was obviously premixed - not the high standard I’d expect from such a hotel. We ordered food on different occasions but the choices were very basic and not done well. chicken tacos were dry, hamburgers were very plain, chips not cooked well. we just expected better from this hotel. if it was better, I think we would have eaten here every night as the location was so amazing. But as it was, there was better on offer at a lower price just nearby. Also, I found some staff very friendly but some were very unfriendly which does impact your stay.

Cleaners were great and very thorough. Hotel location and facilities were perfect.

Reception staff were unable to follow through with a request and unsure of basic transport services. They were also were a little hard to understand. Pillows could be better. Would have been good to know there are two elevators. I took my key to the front desk, thinking it needed to be reactivated. Once the reception staff had activated it, I worked out I had used the wrong lift. A customer behind me waiting to be served also told me that he had done the same thing.

Hard to work out where we could eat or drink as times unclear. Signed up for 10%bonus with no room tidy etc, ours was and they took our water bottle which goes against what they promote. Only filtered water available in gym. Towels thin with no face washers. The instructions for the aircon insufficient as on our second night we couldn’t get the fan to come on to cool the room, left door open instead which meant for a noisy too warm night. A bit more communication aswell as to housekeeping staff might work as we felt that as glitzy as the place is, some of the essentials have been overlooked.

This Hotel was absolutely beautiful, from the atmosphere and decore to the staff and the food. It truly is luxury. The views from my balcony we just beautiful. The staff were so helpful, even when I called at silly o'clock about an issue I was having with my TV, they sent someone up asap, and had it fixed in no time. It's extremely clean and well maintained by the staff, the rooms are beautifully prepared, and everything is easily accessible with just the touch of a button. Ordering food via room service was wonderful and convenient as I was too tired to go out to eat, and the staff truly went above and beyond for me. 10/10 I would definitely recommend.

Very quick check in and out service. Perfect location, within walking distance to everything. Room was spotless. Extremely quite rooms with excellent block out drapes. The beds and linen were very comfy. You cannot hear a sound from outside your room so getting a good night sleep came very easy. Great bathroom products for use. I cannot rate all facilities that were available as we did not venture throughout the complex and we did not have a meal here. Enjoyed our time here.

Terrible fridge, the thing fell forward when you opened it and everything falls out, too small. No ability to open a windows. Tiny room for the price you charge. No couch to sit on, only bed or one hard uncomfortable chair, might look trendy but awful really. Lost when leaving carpark through small door and not having any idea where we were. Had never stayed here before and found the two elevators confusing, at one stage we were in the wrong one and the doors opened into a linen storage area.
