We have stayed in both Maleny and Montville many times over many years but Maleny Terrace Cottages was the most comfortable and super quiet venue. The property consists of 6 self-contained cottages, ours had a spa bath, super comfortable bed, fridge, warm aircon, balcony with amazing views (cottage 6). We stayed in winter but there is a pool for warmer months. Each cottage is allocated 1 car park space but there is additional parking on the street. 2 minute walk to tasty (and very busy) restaurants so be sure to make a booking. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Very romantic weekend!

No negatives

Location was easy to find and short drive to the various sightseeing locations of Maleny and Monteville. Shane's customer service was exceptional and ensured we were kept up to date (even with an unexpected power outage!). We were offered a refund for our final night due to the outage, however as we were out sightseeing, then spent the afternoon by the pool and went out for dinner, we were unaffected by the outage. We were happy the power in the area came back on after a few hours and we were able to enjoy our last night in this fantastic and quaint stay!

While the Balinese hut picnic area had views to die for, there was some road noise. This was not something the owners could fix though due to its convenient location! Amazing additional space for guests to utilise and enjoy the views. Also important to note that while the road noise was audible from the viewing hut, our room was silent and tranquil! No issues there! Very happy!

We've stayed here three times now, in different villas. All are excellent. The attention to detail is amazing. Great beds, lovely layout. We love the flames from the fire, it's very effective. The room is well laid out, with everything to hand. Even the cheese knife, board & bottle opener. Bathrooms are lovely. Down to the spa bath, if you have the time. The fresh flowers are the finishing touch. That & the views, right to the ocean.

The only downside & its not much, are the louvers in the bathroom & toilet. No insect mesh on them, so beware the mozzies if you have to open them. We just kept them closed.

This place is perfect! From the beautiful greeting by Shane to the comfort of the cozy cottage, we could not fault Maleny Terrace Cottages. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the spa in the room. The views are spectacular. There is a Bali hut on the grounds where you can sit and enjoy the serenity or company of others. We took a lawn game and played it on the grass area. Shane was more than helpful and super accommodating. We are ready to book for another stay. A weekend just wasn't long enough.

Absolutely nothing!

Really lovely, spacious room, with cute, retro touches. The bed was incredible, so comfortable. Staff who seemed committed to making our stay memorable. We enjoyed that the hotel was walking distance to two restaurants, a rarity in Maleny - it was great not having to drive to dinner in the evening.

There was a small cleaning snafu (dirty glass left in the room) but staff went above and beyond in solving the issue, and other than that the room was exceptionally clean, especially the bathroom, which we appreciated.

we were upgraded to a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment, with good aircon, large double-shower, and two outdoor seating spaces with views over the countryside. Very helpful staff, gave us a toaster and a large bowl to help with breakfast making using the microwave.

a bit of traffic noise during the day as it's on the main Maleny-Landsborough road, but quiet at night - we had no trouble sleeping.

The location was amazing and the views were pretty spectacular. We dealt mostly with Shane and he was wonderful. The room was great and it was nice to chill in the pool in the heat. We felt that the room was very private and separated from others which is what we wanted. We were able to book dinner at the Terrace Seafood restaurant through Shane and that was really easy. A 2min walk to 2 restaurants with awesome (well-deserved) reputations which made dinner a breeze.

If I had to be picky, a couple of the little ground lights were out so walking back after dinner in the dark in heels is maybe not the best idea.

The room was spectacular, along with the beautiful mountain views. Cleanliness was wonderful. Brilliant shower pressure. The host Shane was GREAT!! He gave us a little room introduction tour and was super gracious and helpful in every manner you can imagine. We even recieved a little welcome gift of chocolate and lollies on the bed. Highly recommend.

There was nothing not to love about this place!

A big thank you to Shane and Irene. The room was beautiful and clean with lovely welcome handpicked flower and bag of candy on the bed. Views were exquisite across to the ocean, and the sunrise was just beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for Shane and he went out of his way to get extra milk for our hot chocolate drinks in the evening. Thankyou guys for a delightful stay. Don't miss out on this accommodation opportunity if you're staying in Maleny.

The weekend exceeds our expectations. Shane our host was there to greet on arrival. Took the time personally to take us to the unit. Explained what was available for dining in the location. Can totally recommend the Thai restaurant just down the road. You do need to book in advance for so busy. The unit gave us the magical view out to the mountains. So relaxing and beautiful. Shane assisted late in the evening when no carpark and allowed us to park on private property around the corner, so the car was safe. There is the most beautiful area to sit down in the garden enjoy your afternoon drink by the water feature. That just rates 10 and above on its own.
