The facilities are amazing - lovely garden setting on the main street of Palm Cove. My studio room was lovely - overlooked the pool, spacious, clean, great bathroom. Breakfast is very nice with generous serving hours and a good selection of options (fruit, cereal, breads, pastries, hot choices, coffee/tea/juice etc) The main pools are fantastic - beautiful temperature, clean, lots of lounges and areas to sit. Swim up bar is ok (see reference later).

I had only two small issues (and I've stayed here before and these are 'new'): 1. Leaf blowers. The noise generated by these things is horrible. They started around 7:45am and continued intermittently for a few hours. Around the pool where people are trying to relax. It needs to stop. 2. The pool bar. Opened late three times during my stay. There were no blenders (I understand a Cyclone Jasper issue). The staff do not pay attention to both sides of the bar so people regularly wait 10+ minutes for service. Some staff were great (the Canadian guy), others were terrible. When it's really hot, this facility is important and service should be far better.

The large lagoon pool and swim up pool bar is a key attraction for us when we visit Peppers at Palm Cove. The breakfast provides a good level of variety with plenty of healthy choices. The staff are always friendly and make every effort to ensure our stay is as enjoyable as possible. We appreciated the staff remembering us from previous stays and thought the bottle of sparkling wine was a nice touch.

This is very specific to the circumstances of our stay due to the tropical cyclone. Peppers did a reasonably good job of keeping us informed of the cyclone situation and what it would mean for us as guests of the resort. We did however find some inconsistencies in communication between staff members and written documentation. The main impact was around food provisions during the cyclone. We were originally told the kitchen would remain open for in room meals only to find on the day that the kitchen would be closed. Not the end of the world, it was more that we did not stock up on food in our room as a result.

Peppers was aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Loved the white, plantation shutter, colonial style. The openness of the pool area was brilliant, with many families sharing there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy space. The garden maintenance was exceptional - always seeing maintenance crew actively working. Front desk gentleman was very professional and an asset to the team. The location of the property is excellent.

No new tennis balls for tennis hire. We cancelled our tennis booking as the balls were in such poor condition. Would normally bring our own gear to play, but on a short stay decided against it. Didn’t think a high-end property would serve up old flat balls. The ice cream freezer sitting in front entrance - what an eye-sore amongst the relaxed decor! Disappointed having post-mix dispensers - we opted out as post-mix offers no quality (understandably a cheaper option for the masses and children, but had we been able to purchase a bottle of tonic or dry ginger for alcoholic beverage we’d have no hesitation to sit longer around the pool bar!) Perhaps ‘dress’ it up as a market cart to add style. The hand railings in stairwells to rooms - very over due for painting - requires a freshen up

Lovely resort with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. I wish I'd stayed longer to enjoy more of the facilities.

The resort is quite large so I found the place tricky to navigate the first time I went to my room. The staff were very helpful, though, and I soon figured everything out. One thing I would have liked is designated parking (i.e. parking in an allocated, numbered spot) since it wasn't always clear which spots were for residents and which were for guests - there seemed to be lots of handmade signs denoting resident parking only, which didn't give me much confidence that I parked in the right spot.

Daily brekky was a great way to kick start the day. The pool area and swim up bar was cool. Room air-conditioning and fans were great. Secure parking close to our room. The staff had a smile and were super helpful 😊 The location is amazing!!

Only small things like... our room was slightly on the small side (hubby stubbed his toe twice on the chair). We also couldn't find an extraction fan switch for the bathroom and the lighting in there wasn't great, which made it hard for hair and makeup. Shutter doors need oiling as they squealed everytime we opened/closed.

stairs I had asked for a room near my daughter...I receceive an email asking if she was an adult ?? She had booked and paid in her name with her credit card. I wasnt asking for an extra room for a child. The email came with a no reply address. I replied. To the email on the web site When I arrived we were not near each other...Which is fine I didnt complain....then i received an email telling me, they had no record of my booking and that I should check my records before I email. I felt it was disappointing, customer service, it showed no accountability. Then an email with one thousand apologies...too late.!

The location was great. Just 2 mins walk from the Ironman Cairns transition. The pool is big and nice. the room was not big enough but was ok for me.

the aircon is set on the wall right near the bed and it was difficult to setup it the way not to blow on you during sleep. the bed could be more comfortable as the mattress is rather soft. the overall room conditions are worth having update/refresh as it is outdated. and also tv was showing only audio/radio channels... there is only one mexican restaurant in the hotel but it is not a problem as there are plenty more within 3-5 mins walking.

Breakfast was good, pool was very nice, grounds are beautiful especially the back pool. Main pool was busy with school holidays though. Hard to find spare lounges anywhere.

Stairs access to rooms and no lifts anywhere. Our three rooms were a long way apart, despite requesting to be close together. Rooms were in different buildings and on different floors.

Second time staying there this year, so far. Great getaway from the New Zealand winter to get a taste of summer. The resort is top-notch, with the swimming pools being a highlight. Beach just outside the main entrance. A must do is to wake up before sunrise and take a beach walk to the pier with the waves at your feet. Superb breakfast includes all you can eat, fully cooked & continental. You can order lunch from the pool bar, but I waited until dinner. There are plenty of dine in and takeaway restaurants around, and some 5 star establishments for a special night out.

Beautiful view of the pool from our room. Great breakfast selection and each day just a little different, good choice of food. Very comfortable room. Location is perfect - with lots of shops and restaurants around in walking distance. The room was very quiet, we had children in the room next to us and we were surprised that we never heard them at all. We enjoyed a spa bath on the balcony, very indulgent. Can highly recommend Peppers.
