Everything was great. Loved the pool access. Washing machine and dryer was handy. Easy parking. Great place to stay at a reasonable price. Will definitely stay again.

The pool was a little dirty and our end of the pool wasn't cleaned once in the week we were there. The 2 male staff members that cleaned the bbqs and outside were sitting around the pool after their shift every afternoon, drinking, playing loud music and smoking (even though the property is non smoking). Language was terrible and on more than one occasion, other guests yelled at them to turn their music down. Not a good look and very unprofessional for such a lovely property.

The 2 room apartment was well set up. We had a full kitchen, a dining are, laundry and a sitting room. Having our own decking areas and a swim up pool was fantastic. I appreciated being supplied with a coffee pod machine. Recliners in the lounge were also a nice touch. Little things, like plastic storage containers were appreciated. It was easy to cook at home. The BBQ facilities were also excellent and well stocked (equipment wise).

The things I didn't like are minor, and probably petty. I am short and I couldn't reach the crockery. My friend also couldn't reach it, so we didn't put our dishes away. The number of towels was hardly sufficient. We each has 2 bath and 2 beach. With swimming and showers after, these were quickly used up. I know we could wash them and dry them, but I don't want to spend all my free time doing this.

We stayed in unserviced apartment with a plunge pool and kitchen. it was spacious and had nearly everything you’d expect and extras such as razor and toothbrushes. It was comfortable and clean. Just one little thing, when you book an apartment with a kitchen with stove top and cooking facilities you would expect basics such as salt and pepper and if your lucky some oil and paper towels. There was no salt or pepper. A little thing but as we like to cook and were traveling we didn’t think to buy salt and pepper as that is usually provided with a full kitchen.

The staff member at check in was efficient and helpful and pointed out to us good restaurants and coffee shops. Our apartment was on the first floor close to the lift which was essential for us because my husband cannot walk up stairs. The layout of the apartment was good and our bed very comfortable. We had a spacious balcony where we were able to enjoy breakfast. The pool area is well set out with a couple of covered BBQ areas with seating as well as lounges by the pools. We booked a couple of tours through the staff at reception who were very helpful.

The grout in the shower showed signs of mould. Silkari Lagoons Resort is quite a distance from the main centre of Port Douglas and it is a very dark drive into the town centre in the evening.

Friendly staff and the layout of the hotel was great for families. Every bottom floor room is a swim up room, so this was perfect for our family as we had a 6 week trip old infant that stayed in her bassinet on the edge of our room and allowed me to sit with my legs in while family were in the pool and still have easy access to the room to care for the baby. We had 4 adults and wanted two bathrooms, so we booked for that and ended up with two apartments that had the ability to be one big apartment. The bigger room had more facilities (so a main kitchen & laundry vs a kitchenette) but we could walk through the rooms easily so it made it one big apartment. I didn’t know it would be laid out this way at the time of booking but that actually worked out better and really well for our family group. I don’t think this would be as good for couples looking for romance and luxury but for a family, it was fantastic and had everything we needed for a great family holiday.

Nothing - would book here again! Great value. Wouldn’t book if just two of us looking for a romantic break but would book again for families!

Enjoyed our stay. We had a room with kitchenette and laundry facilities which was useful. Daily room service was not provided so you just need to ask at reception if you need more items like towels etc. - they were very nice and accommodating. You can access and use any of the multiple pools/BBQ facilities, this was great! Close 5 minute drive to Port Douglas main town or 5 minute easy walk down the neighbourhood to 4 mile beach access. No restaurant on site but restaurant at the accommodation next door provides 15% if you show your room key.

Very convenient 2 night stay with easy access to the Skyrail to Kuranda. The room had everything you could possibly need. But It’s a family hotel with pools and bbq. Great for an extended stay. Not so good for couples as noisy.

Our swim out pool was the only one that hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked, it was cleaned the next day. We had very noisy neighbours. None of this spoiled our stay though. It would be good to have a place for breakfast and light snacks although you can use the Ramada next door. And a couple of bottles of water in the fridge but these are minor quibbles.

Well appointed apartments. Outdoor BBQ areas. Comfortable beds.

Close to beach, great facilities And in room

No sun shades across pools. Water is a hot Bath. Let’s the property down. Climate all year is mostly hot in fNQ, implementing shades across 1/2 or 1/4 of pools is a priority for guests to enjoy The pool area as it offers some area of relief and cools water Down. ATM not enjoyable, and you should be sun smart in areas like this.

The apartment was modern and spacious. There were two bedrooms although we only needed one. The kitchen was great and roomy. Lovely couch in the spacious living room, a large TV and walk out to the balcony, which had another couch and a table where we had dinner and breakfast looking out to the pools. The bed was really comfortable with clean linen and fluffy pillows. The whole place was immaculate, lovely facilities, close to town. We loved this place. The washing machine and dryer made it super easy on an extended stay.

There were large moths around the open corridors, this is not related to the accommodation but they were nasty looking.
